SUCH an overlooked but critically important feature is the layout of those damn infotainment systems and deletion of tactile knobs and buttons! I HATE HATE HATE having look away and hunt simply to adjust a basic function in a vehicle. Thanks for Screen Wars review!!!

When you do your poll, you need to first ask poll takers to rank the importance of each of the categories you reviewed. For example, I don’t ever tow, so a low score on towing from me won’t tell you much about how I feel about who has the best towing system. It will only muddy interpretation of your results. Ranking categories will also tell you something about how your viewers use their trucks to some degree.

The Colorado with tech gremlins worked out would be the one for me. It just looks like a modern truck. Proportions are right, good towing numbers and it makes enough power. I currently drive a 2019 5th Gen Ram Bighorn. I love my truck but don't really need a full size as much anymore.

Before the Maverick was introduced, I had my eye on the Ranger. Two things that kept me from purchasing a midsized truck were: 1. Height and 2. Budget. I needed a truck, and the Maverick fits my needs and wallet.

the best value is the frontier by a mile. big discounts to be had with very little effort. amazing truck for the money. i shopped and test drove all of them sans the ford, it surprised me and i traded in a tacoma for it.
  • Because of your evaluations of mid-sized trucks I just bought a new Nissan Frontier SV 4x4 long bed. I bought the Frontier because of the reliability and dependability of the truck, I bought this because it doesn't have a turbo, it doesn't have cylinder deactivation, and I haven't seen a bunch of recalls on this naturally aspirated V6 engine. Within the first hundred miles I already got 22.6 mpg. in city driving. I am interested in finding out what it is going to do when I take a trip in it. You put the specifications of all these trucks in the spotlight for me to make a judgement call on what I should buy. Because I am a large guy the room I have in the Frontier is much better in the front seat than the rest and I looked at all of them to give them a fair comparison. I did not look at the Honda Ridgeline or the Hyundai Santa Cruz because they just didn't interest me. Thank you for all your videos because besides the entertainment value they provide, they also help people make smart decisions on what best suits them.
  • Excellent test guys, really appreciate the exposure to these new trucks and all the valuable metrics that you cannot find anywhere else under these conditions.

Ranger has it for me...especially the biggest in class back seat for the family. I'm hoping for a hybrid Ranger next year. The perfect urban plus vehicle for a family of four. The Maverick is just too small. I owned a Hardbody back in the day, and loved it. The dog loved the supercab. But, having sold Fords for years, it's my heart's home.

Frontier price and engine, ranger interior, tacoma exterior, Ridgeline driving Dynamics. Build it for me ill buy

I LOVE the work you do! One category I'd add to consider, in addition to what has been covered, is safety ratings. How do each of these trucks do in crash testing? To me, that is nearly as important as other factors. Thank you for the fantastic content you make for us!

I have a gladiator, so of course I'm going to vote for it. But you can get gladiators way cheaper than that mojave. It's always a trade off for off road capability. I hope as you get ready to do the off road segment, you put all the trucks on a lift. You can talk about approach angles all you want, but when you look at how the gladiator oil pan is protected by being up above the axle and further back, the alternator is up on top so it doesn't get drug through every mud crossing, durable solid axles, etc. Fundamentals vs party tricks.
  • @jlaw1901
I know it was a huge lift but these series are the ones that got me to follow you guys initially! I was excited to see this one!

I'm really considering a RL if I'm honest with myself this is all the truck I need. love the fact that it doesn't have a Turbo and rather has a V6 NA which equals reliability. And also, I'm not sure if I would be comfortable rock climbing with my brand new 60K off-road truck/SUV so who am kidding. If I really want to go off-roading I would just buy an used 2010 Jeep Wrangler and tow it with my super comfortable Ridgeline truck.

I have a 2022 Ford Ranger, and love it, but this new Ranger is growing on me.
  • @devildog5354
TFL helps by highlighting factors a consumer should consider. Would recommend people make their own decisions based on personal criteria and preferences though. It's good to have choices regardess of final decision...
  • Honestly a great year to be a tfl fan! So many new trucks and SUVs coming out! Love what you guys do please keep it up!
  • great video here in Malta Ranger Wildtrak /Ranger Raptor have been pretty common here.

If I had $45K to drop on a truck, it would be the Ranger. I think it would be the best fit for my lifestyle and features I need for the area that I live in. The problem is I don't have $45K to drop on a truck. I have to admit I am still in sticker shock at the prices of the mid-size trucks and vehicles in general. The last new vehicle I bought was a 2004 F-150 XLT "truck of the year" for $27K; I drove it for 17 years without any complaints, I sold it a year ago and I miss not having a pick-up. Thank you for your thorough test on what is currently available; and I look forward to seeing how the new trucks from Subaru and Kia fair in the upcoming months.
