5000!! That’s a real big number!! I honest to goodness can’t even believe I broke it so quickly sdjhfkjsdf. It’s completely wild—I’d been sitting somewhere around 500 subscribers ever since VY2’s anniversary last year, and then back in August I dropped the Monster Crush cover and suddenly it skyrocketed within a week and I had no idea what to do about it. I’ve literally received more comments on Monster and I’m Sorry than any other video I’ve ever uploaded h o l
This was? originally?? supposed to be a 1000 subscriber milestone?? I started it practically the minute I got back from my trip and I got the tuning done lickety split, but the sub count was faster than I was, so 1000 got left in the dust shjkgldfshj
Part of the reason this took so long is I front loaded so much work into this darn project and ended up having to cut 90% of it out. I sort of panicked at the thought of doing something special, so my mind instantly went to “do the most,” and next thing I knew I’d planned out recreating the entirety of the original Donut Hole PV. Turns out that would have taken me ten million years and I needed to get on with my life sjhfglksdjf
I salvaged what I could, though! Took what was originally a turn-around and changed it into a LipSync rig and pulled out all the stops on it: multiple, moveable layers, a bunch of extra expressions, and even some eye animation thrown in. I really tried my hand at making as smooth animation as I could and using the program to its fullest extent, which in the end meant drudging through over 70 facial frames but sgjfhlskdf

The rig itself was definitely a challenge to work with, at least in AviUtl. Not having proper interpolation curves or working folders meant I had to manually sync up all the different parts whenever I wanted to move them, which really slowed down my progress overall.
In regards to the song, this one wasn’t really one I planned originally planned on covering! When it first came out, it took a while for it to grow on me, and by then the bandwagon had passed and I wasn’t really confident enough in my tuning yet to make it happen. However, all the note-bending experience from the I’m Sorry I’m Sorry cover helped prep me for the job, and I tackled it as best I could!!
Making the harmonies was something else all together heheh ;; I had a pretty hard time trying to make chords that fit the “feeling” of the original melody, and in the end I had to butcher my renders in my mixer to get them to the point where they sounded halfway decent. I cut out so much it’s not even funny honestly heheh ; ;
and honestly don’t even get me started on mixing i remade this thing like 20 times and i've lost all sense of what's right and wrong dsjghfl
I worked hard and it was a whole lot of effort, but I think it was worth it when it comes to giving a bit of thanks to all the people who decided to subscribe! The idea of one day having more than even 800 subscribers was something I never even thought of, and yet here we are.

The four Levels of Vocaloid Users: 1. The newbies These people don't have a lot of experience under their belts, nor are they very familiar with usage. They are pretty much limited to the basics. Chances are they are just huge Vocaloid fans that wanted to get a taste of the action. Their content is pretty average. 2. The Veterans These users know their way around a voice box. They have probably done research, gotten tips, read discord servers, and experimented with their Vocaloids. They understand that each Vocaloid has its own thing going on, and know how to work with them accordingly. Their content is impressive and very much so realistic. 3. The professionals These are the producers. In addition to writing their own music, they have mastered the Vocaloid(s) of their choosing, so much so that they are able to add their own personal flair to the singing to make it uniquely theirs. They way they tune the Vocaloids can often even be recognizable to that producer. They even know their way around the append, dark, whisper, sweet, etc. voice boxes to really capture emotion in the Vocaloid's singing. 4. MioDioDaVinci No explanation needed.

This song honestly makes me sad. it reminds me of a good friend i had last year. I never got the chance to get her number, so i could never talk to her outside of school. ever since we started digital school, we had to quarantine and stay home. Tbh, one thing I could remember was visiting her house. but i dont exactly know or remember her house adress. so when it was her birthday (during quarantine) i bought a gift for her. but then i remembered that I dont know her adress, phone number or anything for me to give the gift to her. so I spent the whole day crying and the rest of quarantine depressed. Now, school has started up again, and she is in none of my classes, and due to social distancing and all of that, we never had the chance to talk again. we dont even share the same lunch period! but there is at least one other thing i remember her sister shares a few classes with me and she told me how my friend also misses me and wished we shared classes.. so moral of the story, always keep in contact w/ your friendos :(

I can't believe it's been 5years since you released this... This cover is actually one of the songs that helped me through a bad phase in my teenage years, it really helped me move on from things that were holding me back from living.
