Casey has a point. Embiid isn’t giving enough effort. You see when Embiid plays bad he just gives up. A guy that gives all the effort is a guy like Steph. He ahot 0-6 from 3 and 1-9 from the field, yet he still gave effort setting screens and playmaking. If Embiid did that he would be less hated and more respected.

He doesn’t play winning basketball at the highest level and it shows. He’s good at dropping 30-40 in January against the hornets and wizards but when defenses get serious and double him and scheme around him he’s incapable of adjusting. He’s a great player but not tip top tier and can’t be a 1 option.

The Spanish have a good phrase for guys who switch teams based upon who’s winning - jaccaderro or however you spell it. Playing for ones country is a huge honour and pulling an Embid is lame af.

Embiid had his statistically best game (15 pts on 5 of 6 shooting) against the same team South Sudan last week that he held a DNP recently against as well. Put up 15 pts and led Team USA in rebounds and assists against Germany too. He was obviously recruited to the USA by Grant Hill to play in certain match-ups to avoid France having that big man advantage over the USA. What hasn't helped either is playing Embiid with 3 guards defensively whilst Bam and AD play together in double big lineups. This is all whilst Embiid is adjusting to FIBA for the first time in his career and coming off injury (you can tell he's out of shape). Team USA has won games without using all their players including Embiid, Tatum and Haliburton and also win WITH them playing significant minutes. \n\nJust making a mountain of a molehill and just using Embiid for clicks at this point.
