A 32-year-old Los Angeles woman was killed last month in a fatal car collision allegedly caused by a 17-year-old driver whose father is a multimillionaire. Monique Munoz was T-boned by a black Lamborghini SUV, which was a gift to Brendan Khuri from his entrepreneur father James. The teen was booked, but hasn’t yet been charged. The victim’s parents say that the vehicle was not a smart gift for any teenager. “I miss her every day,” her mother said. #InsideEdition

    • When I was 17 years old, I thought I knew it all. Now I’m almost 42 and know that i knew nothing. A sports Car for a 17 year old is a very immature decision.

The amount of people unwilling to hold the teen accountable. No, it’s not about the car and dare I say it’s not even the dad’s fault. The teen most likely took a driving test and should know the rules of the road and decided not to follow them. He was the one who controlled the car that hit the lady, him and only him should be at fault for this.

Respect for the man for taking accountability and saying sorry, the son should definitely be held accountable

Doesn’t matter how fast the car is. Its the person behind it.

Sounds like his dad is trying to be his kids friend and not his dad.

Giving a sports car as a gift isn’t the problem. The problem is that the son clearly did not know how to handle it and was irresponsible
  • @threat8_
The car had nothing to do with the problem, it’s the one driving it.

He was absolutely speeding. It was a 30mph zone and cars don't do that kind of damage at 30mph.

The kid in the Lamborghini ran a red light and was driving at 100mph when it hit the woman. The rich dad paid $18.8 million in a settlement, while the kid gets 9 months in a juvenile detention center. How can the punishment of murder be just a slap on the wrist???
  • The gift isn’t the problem. The dad and sons mentality, “everyone knows who is faster” that’s a grown man saying that.
  • My dad owned two sports cars. But instead of letting me drive one of his cars he bought me a used ford escape for my 17th birthday for this exact reason.

The dad seems really genuine and it’s nice to see him take accountability and apologize on behalf of what his son did
  • I’m 21 years old, I own a 2007 V6 mustang and I’ve worked long and hard to save up the money for the car I have. To see a teenager gifted with a sports vehicle like that and would be so reckless with it is absolutely ridiculous.
  • This isn’t about if it was an “appropriate gift” the kid should just pay the consequences no matter if it was a lambo or honda he was driving!

look at that poor mother weeping for her child...breaks my heart, cause once you're gone, you're gone. be safe everyone, and make smart decisions. please

Pay for the funeral then compensate her family... He's rich and can afford it... Simple and the right thing to do, if he does all that without the family taking him to court... Then his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the family will be taken seriously...

Father being a cool buddy instead of a Father, that never works when your kid is still growing.
