I thought the super Saiyan 2 or 3 comment was just to indicate that Gohan's power felt like was still using normal ki, not god ki. So Goku was thinking Gohan just powered up an existing transformation instead of something new.

I think it would be fun comic relief if Goten and Trunks befriend Broly while he’s not training to have him tag along on their adventures or whatever they’re up to. Socializing him into society and stuff like that. Also as for training he needs to spend time in yardrat. That is the greatest way for him to master his energy control. With that training he may get a controlled berserk form that could rival or surpass Gohan’s beast form

I gotta say, the "fat Gotenks" bit they keep pulling, really is Toriyama and Toyotaro (but I'm willing to bet it's mostly Toriyama by a mile) messing with Fandom, because they know everyone wants it, and they're gonna keep dangling that carrot in front of us until we finally get it! As for the chapter itself, this looks really good!

The chapter's establishing that Ultimate was unnamed in-universe until right now is probably why Goku asked about SSJ2 and 3 instead. Those are the forms he knows Gohan can do that he has names for. If the name Ultimate was known to him he would have asked about that instead. He was probably thinking that Gohan enhanced 1 of these 3 forms with a rage boost the way Future Trunks' rage enhanced SSJ2.

I feel like Broly would benefit from training with Piccolo being it seems he is very good at training saiyans who's rage is their main power.

I just hope Whis can explain a bit more about why Gohans form is so hacked and such a jump in power.

Titles the chapter Goku vs Gohan, but they only spar for a few page's at the end We'll see Goten and Trunks get the fusion right when it will matter like against Freeza.

I think the reason we see goten and trunks fail the fusion is because when we do see gotenks he’s gonna be an absolute monster in power

one thing I noticed reading the chapter. Notice during Goku/Gohan's Fight, Vegeta never seems to have an issue keeping an eye on both of them. he is shown 3 times observing, but never moving, while the rest seem to be amazed and struggle. Reminds me of how they wrote Gohan during the Cell Games. Not to say I think Vegeta is "Stronger" but I think its a nice detail showing he is less impressed, and likely on par with the both of them. Love the small details like that.

When Goku asked if it was SSj2 or SSj3 I dont think he meant in power level. He probably thought Gohan found a way to stack another technique onto SSJ2 or SSJ3 like how Goku stacked 2 transformations and a technique to make SSJBKKx20
