Headcanon voices for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Amidst discussion of Pokemon having voice acting, I thought I'd throw my hat into the ring on who I'd like to voice this cast. I challenged myself not to double-cast with anyone playing a named character in Pokemon Masters (as of December 2022) since I consider those the closest to the "game canon voices". I didn't cast the protagonists since they're not really singular distinct characters as of yet, though I'm excited to see what Masters may do with them one day. Also this isn't really me trying to cause discourse like "See it DOES need voice acting!!!", it's just for fun.

Audio clips are intended as actor references and not exactly what I imagine everyone to sound (though I got some weirdly good in-context ones this time ngl).

    Since this is quickly becoming my most common comment - yes, I'm aware Grusha is a guy! I cast him as Marin Miller, a nonbinary voice actor who has voiced a lot of male and female characters and who I thought fit his androgynous design. I'm very aware of his gender, it was an intentional choice on my part, ha ha.

    You basically nailed Nemona and Arven; side note what you put for Eri works, but I think it would be hilarious if she was voiced by the VA who voiced Luisa from “Encanto.”

    First seeing Nemona’s dialogue in game, I imagined she would have a Spanish accent because she says things like “Oye” and “Vamos”. But her voice here still fits. I feel these are all voices that they would have in the anime.

    the best thing about this is that each of these voice lines are saying things you'd expect(or imagine) hearing these characters say!

    You have such a talent for matching voices to characters! The only ones that didn't quite fit for me was Rika and Geeta. I imagined Geeta to have like a foreign accent with her name, and overall character model, potentially Indian. As for Rika, I dont really have a comparison but I would imagine Rika sounding like Uranus from Sailor Moon. I really loved all the other ones. It was really impressive that the clips you chose to feature kind of played into the characters story or personality. Nice work!

    idk why but Larry saying 'and i'm taking your tofu' is just really funny and kind of accurate based on the selfie you get from him after defeating the normal gym.
