If you notice, yourself is singing for herself; yourself is expressing what he feels, he wanted herself to be with him

Sad fact: this was technically made by Divide (Some people call him divine) and he was a modder/dev for sonic.exe. but one day, he died in his sleep from cancer. Apparently though, someone saw his sketch of this alternate boyfriend character and made a whole mod about it. While the lyrics do reference girlfriend, it also references Divide and how if divide was alive right now, he would be proud. And the stay awake part references how divide died in his sleep, saying for him to just stay awake to see what he had created Edit: I agree with some of y'all, cancer seems to be like that one incurable plague that takes the best people away. First technoblade, then lynja, and even divide. There's many more that died from cancer too. Edit 2: as requested from @N0oBzy I will also add edd Gould, creator of eddsworld. He probably wanted to continue eddsworld, but he died from cancer 8 years after it started. Luckily, eddsworld lived on and continued being created. Edit 3: it's also came to my attention that the face of doge, kabuso, has also died. Leukemia was the main reason while some people speculate it was also due to cancer.

I really like the detail of How his smile seems more forced then anything. He forces himself to be confident, to pretend nothing happend

The lore for this is this version of bf is from a different universe where herself/gf dies so bf gets depressed and mutates like this so when you hear him says how long you can see herself for like 0.1 seconds atleast I think that'd the lore for silly billy

The way he shatters reality when he says "my way" is true peak

The fact you can slightly hear herself’s voice when he sings the higher notes at the part ‘Just long’ makes this even more heart wrenching. Especially because we can see her for a small glimpse.

When he said "how proud" i felt his pain because of the sound of his voice

Im sorry i literally cried listening to this because of the mod story. That's why the animation and lyrics is so good, so emotional, because it was made with pure emotion, of pure loss. Rest in Peace, Divide.
