All I hear from parents is whining and complaining about their kids. It's not a good argument for having kids when the people that have them are always miserable.
  • @Brillotop
I promised myself I'd never create a broken home. I kept that promise.
  • Fertility rates aren’t low!!!! WE 👏 CAN’T👏 AFFORD 👏TO 👏START 👏 A👏FAMILY

There is no infertility. Women are choosing not to have babies. Let the corporations have babies, since they are making all the profits.
  • Were paying for isrealis free Healthcare, but won't even consider paying for ours... if you want more babies, subsidize the costs

Just had a baby. I had to pay for the hospital and my newborn at the hospital. No paid family leave so am forced to go back to work and pump there which is horrible and my baby hates the bottle. My medical premiums are $800 per month. Daycare costs are outrageous (almost $2,000!). I have never been more disgusted with America— it truly hates families, babies and children.

When I see the world today, NOT having kids is the absolute single best decision I have ever made. Bringing a child into this sick corporatocracy is unfathomable. This entire nation is sick

We need to stop trying to guilt people into being parents. People who really want children should have children and people who do not want children should not, should definitely not have them.

As a mom of a special needs child, in THIS country your life IS OVER when you have kids. Going to an autism awareness event cost us $80; all we can do go to work…
  • @Th3Chuzzl3r
Given the current status of America, for an average person having children is borderline irresponsible, sad to say thst.

There’s no economic stability for average working class Americans. Many people do not want to bring a child into the world when they don’t feel confident that they have job and housing security. Even if you manage to stay afloat the lack of stability can be so terrifying for the children. I was 8 when the 1990 recession happened and I’ve never felt secure since then. They can pull the rug out from under you anytime and I’ve seen a lot of people get permanently locked out of jobs other than the most low paying ones because if you go to many months without finding a new position you basically get black listed. Employers start thinking there must be something wrong with the individual for being out of work too many months even when the individual has great work experience. Plus in corporate America there is a high risk pf being forced into early retirement in your 50s or early 60s when you are nowhere near financially ready to retire.

This news story coming from WOMEN is crazy… Ladies please be realistic and don’t just have a baby because America told you it’s okay. Listen to stories from women who had kids without money, a job, a home , or a supportive partner…because ANYTHING can happen. Do what’s best for you
  • Because a lot of women are raising their kids by themselves. The childfree women see this and they don't want to struggle like their single mom friends do.
  • I was raised with the mindset "be able to support yourself and any children you bring into this world. I went to college and had a good paying job, but i never reached the point where i felt i could afford children.
  • Women dont want to risk getting pregnant when they could die if they miscarriage. Not to mention who can afford to have kids with corporations price gouging every one!
  • @Nubianette
The less financially secure you are, the wiser decision is to have less or no kids. I’m expensive enough on my own, so no kids.

What is conveniently overlooked in this discussion is that social media has given young women an unprecedented look into what motherhood and marriage looks like and it does not look very appealing. Lackluster schools, undisciplined children, cost of living, and weaponized incompetence on the part of the men makes freedom look far more appealing to young women now. The commentator mentioned that child free people’s lives seem “empty” to her, however she is so far off base with this assumption that it’s laughable.
