The CIA Assassination of Frank Olson | The Murder that Exposed MK-ULTRA

November 28th, 1953. New York City.

At 2:30 AM the body hit the sidewalk. A few seconds later, a shower of glass.

The doorman of the Statler Hotel yelled to the lobby that there was a jumper.

The night manager rushed out and saw him. A man, about 40 years old, lying on the pavement. He was on his back, wearing only his underwear and blood started to pool around him.

13 stories up, a single window was open; its curtain flapping through broken glass.

The night manager knelt beside the man, whose eyes were open and was somehow still alive. He desperately tried to speak but was choking on blood and couldn't be understood. After a minute or two of trying to communicate, the man took a final deep breath and was gone.

Nobody knows for sure what he was trying to say before he died.

But one thing is for certain, it was something about the CIA.

  • Make no mistake. They may not call it MK-Ultra anymore, but it still exists.
  • That’s why JFK’s speech to “break the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds” instantly sealed his fate.
  • @michaelgriggs395
Anybody who believes that these types of programs and government research no longer exists is ignorant or blatantly wants to put their head in the sand and not acknowledge it’s existence. Ft Meade, Maryland is a perfect example of one of those places.
  • @acar7421
I have no doubt they still do MKUltra. Especially in Hollywood
  • @dirtyd2316
What’s really scary to me about all of this,is the fact that so many American citizens are totally unaware of all these horrible crimes are government has committed against its own citizens in the past, and I can’t help but think about that old saying that says “he who doesn’t know history is doomed to repeat it.”
  • @kasRose311
CIA agent (Roger Smith) involved in MKultra was Charles Manson’s parole officer. He was also the one who evaluated Jack Ruby as being unfit for trial. Jack Ruby was sane before the visit but not after…documented by Tom O’Neil.
  • I remember Frank Olson's death being talked about in an episode of Unsolved Mysteries. The depiction of him trying to say something to the night manager, after his fall, always stuck with me.
  • @Boughnowowski
Academy Award winner Errol Morris took six dragged out hours in Netflix's cinematic docu-drama WORMWOOD to tell the mystery of Frank Olson's murder. A.J. and Hecklefish were able to efficiently and humorously tell the same story in 15 minutes. Way to go, Why Files!
  • @tompaul3097
In under 16 minutes you’ve covered more than most documentaries would in hours! All thriller and no filler! Another excellent video! Can’t recommend this channel enough!!
  • @zynark777
It's called Project Monarch today. The Montauk Project also did similar research.

It’s amazing to me American citizens don’t put 2 and 2 together and re-abolish the income tax. This is the reason the founders were opposed to direct taxation in the first place. Government’s power never stops expanding when one exists
  • @JonnoPlays
I love it when you cover real events that aren't known hoaxes. Great work on this one. I always wondered what was the full story and it's nearly impossible to track down with all the clutter out there.
  • @tracy9397
I think a lot of us know damn good and well that MKUltra is still very much alive and is still used on more people than you can imagine.
  • @thelaserdoc1
Jolly West mkultra doctor was Jack Ruby's doctor, as well as Timothy McVeigh, Sirhan Sirhan, Ted Kaczynski, and Charles Manson.
  • @Rick1959
"Why would they lie?" Because that's what they do..... I do not regret leaving the Federal government employment....And I didn't work for the CIA....
  • @jasonblain716
I worked with someone who had a lot of friends in the CIA. He said he wouldn't join because it seemed like they all died early. We are all ex military. The lesson you learn when you first enlist, never, never ever volunteer.
  • @leefoster4133
Seriously, I worked for the government as military. The MK-ULTRA project maybe cancelled but it doesn't mean they didn't rename it or increased the scope. That's the one part of the government that always made me very nervous and I watched my back at all times.
  • The manson murders were a case of mk ultra. Read the book CHAOS by Tom O’Neil, awesome read
  • I'm a 71yo guy from Long Island. My parents were friends of the Olson family and I have vague memories of visiting them because they kids. Many years later I was a pilot for Brookhaven National Labs. We were doing atmospheric research sampling air through probes attached to the aircraft. We landed on Plum Island and I had a chance to look around. Very interesting
