These two are the most American Canadians on YouTube.

    “Play Higher by Creed” 😂😂😂
  • Gentleman!!! Thank you for bringing back the box test! You have no idea how much I appreciate it. I'm really obsessed with space!! Please bring it back full time
  • 5:30 I love how you discover new aspects of cars after becoming a parent. Loud locks - issue, small cup holders - issue, a window lever so high that kid see only plastic until they are ten - issue. I am not saying that G wagon is a family car ;) but sometimes car reviews could be something more than a driver perspective :) keep on, guys!

Some enthusiasts will miss the ruggedness of the old G but we already lost that back in 2019. Mercedes understands their customers and most buyers want a smoother G, so product-wise I’m not ‘offended’ about the added comfort. the engine is ok also, as long as you still have the option of getting the V8 with the G63 I don’t see a problem. I just wish that Mercedes would do a special basic/rugged edition for the enthusiasts who miss the old days, like get rid of the leather, have some tartan seats, 17/18 inch basic wheels, some accessories for overlanding. That would be nice and I’m sure would sell.

A like for the "Higher" rendition by Yuri
  • I know some people miss the older, rugged G-Wagon, but I quite like this generation with its updated interior, improved suspension, and more modern styling. But engine-wise, I do miss the old 4.0 twin-turbo V8. The new inline 6 is no match for that sweet V8 rumble.
  • Really glad this is an option honestly. The m256 is an awesome engine and it’s pretty efficient.

M256 is one engine nowadays you can buy without even thinking for a blink of a second. Used it on a S500 for 3 years, that was surely the best part of the car. It doesn't have any sound though, it's just a solid built engine with brilliant comfort. It wasn't good for my needs, I needed sound, so I went with a V8 next. For drivers seeking the ultimate luxury, I6 is a decent solution.

I really love these but sadly I will never pay this much for a vehicle.

Great video! As an American living in Amsterdam and having driven through France A LOT, they have really nice motorways (mainly the tolled ones). I love the 130 km/h speed limit. You can easily do 140-150. France isn’t too bad with the speed cameras, they usually have signs telling you one is coming up or you can use an app that will tell you where they are and then you can avoid tickets. 110 km/h when wet/raining is a bit confusing. My BMW switches to 110 as the speed limit sign when the wipers are on constantly but if it’s dry enough that wipers aren’t on, it switches to 130. Speed cameras are tuned for 130 so even if it’s raining but you’re under 130, they don’t snap a picture (from my experience)

Normally I’m not the type to complain about losing a V8 to an I6, I kinda like I6’s better but a G without a V8 just feels kinda wrong. I’m not buying a G-class to off road, I’m buying one to show off and the V8 always felt like it was part of that.
  • @169abr
No V8 = Problem for sure.
  • @mathewhumvee
Here the thing, if they put the V8 into the AMG version. It has nothing to do with emissions, it’s cost cutting
  • Seen a few older 6.3L V8s go past me recently. Gone are the days of that sweet sound.
  • @cbotten106
That vehicle is painted in a hue that was once known on car lots as "old man beige". Matte beige is still beige. All those people with Burnished Gold Metallic ES250/ES300/ES350s heart skipped a beat when the saw the thumbnail for this. And this one cannot do that cool tank turn like the EV! It's definitely iconic though.

Now people are hating on 6 cylinders 🤣 ridiculous. There's still the G63
