Great idea well executed although I would add two changes one minor a cotter pin in the nut to prevent unravelling and the second would be to weld eyelets midsection on the outside this would ensure that using a statchum strap you could rachet the timber or window to the unit getting far better control and less chance of the goods slipping off.
  • Glass shops use a similar thing. It is about a 5 ft piece of wood with a cushioned groove on top for the glass. There are 2 8 inch wheels like that in the center and a smaller caster on each end. It's called a torpedo dolly. It's used to wheel glass sheets around and it can pivot on those 2 center wheels.

  • Es muy práctico pero no es nuevo, hace más de 40 años empecé con mi padre en el mundo del mármol y utilizábamos uno igual, ya era viejo

For the "non-welders, use plywood or even 2x4's or 2x6's. You could also use JUST (3) casters, though the axle/wheel setup might be more stable, due to the spread and directional steering ease.

Could actually just use the 2 large wheels and do without the caster wheel.
  • Also can be used to carry wood fence panel es I make them. For my fence

I install windows and doors. I've had one of these minus the small wheel for years. Mine has 2 front lawn tractor wheels and tires on it. Just a little balance and it will take a heavy window or sliding glass door. Just about anywhere.
