Stupid is as stupid does. I rode a bike, joined a club, acted like an asshole. But unlike many others, I got away without a scratch. I first rode a motorcycle when I was 11, started running from the cops when I was 13, got my first ticket on a bike days after getting my license. I rode like I was immortal, Miami to Boca at 150 mph, Orlando to Miami in under 2 hours. 25 years on two wheels, and not a mark to show for it. But my number was due to come up. I sold my bike, hung up my helmet and gloves, and grew up. But many of my friends didn't. RIP Terry, Rich, Tony, Alan, Steve, Artie, and my brother Don. Neil Young was full of shit, it is not better to burn out than to fade away, and nowadays he'd be tell you that.
