I am Lars, 11y old, and this was my first Rammstein concert. I ended up crowdsurfing with Richard, thanks to my father, his friend Bruno and Richard who pulled me into his boat! Ostend Belgium - 27 June 2024

A perspective from the father:
I knew where the boats would start as I have been to the same R+ show twice 2 years ago (also in Ostend Belgium) and also twice last year in Brussels. And I only want to be in the Feuerzone as I believe it's the best experience of being in between the fire towers and close to the stage. About a year ago when tickets came online, my best friends decided they would bring their daughter to the concert for the first time. She's a few years older than my son. I was in doubt but decided I would also bring my son for the first time.
So we bought 6 tickets, and the day of the concert I knew where to stand, in the feuerzone, near the back a bit not far from the B-stage where the piano's play. There were other people with kids there too. We also saw the band arrive to the B-stage, while camera's are filming the crowd. When they played 'Engel' I told my best friend that I wanted to get my son in 1 of the boats. I also told the people standing around us so they knew.
When the first boat arrived, I tried to push him in but didn't work. When the 2nd boat arrived, tried again but Oliver gave a guitar pick to my son. I then asked my friend to help me push my son into Richard's boat.... When Richard arrived, I suddenly felt he was being lifted. I didn't know at the time that Richard actually pulled him into the boat haha... I only heard a big cheer from the crowd around us. I obviously was surprised that it had worked.
Without the help of my friend pushing and Richard pulling him in this would not have worked. As said before after this I just rushed to the front of the stage as I obviously wanted to get my son back LOL. Once the security gave him back to me at the front left stage, he was totally blown away with what just happened.
We went to the toilets, got a drink from the bar and went back to our friends in the feuerzone where we enjoyed the rest of the show. It was funny that so many people recognised him (even when walking home after the show) but everyone seemed to be happy for him.

  • You can see that Rammstein are fathers: They want to help this boy and are very protective that the boy is safe 👍👍👍

A moment this kid and family will never forget! R+ members are kind hearted people. Christoph Schneider did the same thing a few weeks ago in the Netherlands, he took a little girl in a Snow White costume in his boat!
  • Bravo Rammstein..sehr schöner Moment...das ist die riesige Rammsteinfamilie.
  • wow that was the best time this boy will have have at a rammstein concert.

I was there and I loved how happy both guys looked. Such a great experience. Richard never seems to have someone in his boat, so this is possibly a highlight for them both. 🙂
  • @Kyjos
What a wonderful and heartwarming moment

All kids should have such experience with Rammstein.
  • That boy was very couragous to just leave his familiy and crawl into this boat. Not many at his age would have done this. And the result is incredble pictures and video. Thanks!!
  • What an amazing experience for your first ever concert. He is one lucky little dude. Shout out to Rammstein for looking after him and to his parents for having such good taste in music. Best band EVER.
  • That boy has one awesome memory to hold onto as he grows up, and I'll bet it'll never leave him for long. I saw Rammstein live in 2011. Nothing anything like that happened to me. I had regular standing tickets. When I wasn't sandwiched between 14 people and standing behind a giant with another giant on his shoulders (and that giant on his shoulders was holding up a cell phone to film), I was squashed against the rear wall of the dome the concert took place in, which is enormous (19,100 people standing) and was packed to capacity, but I could feel the heat of the pyrotechnics from there, the show itself was exciting and engaging, not to mention hilariously funny at times (Flake ducking into his cauldron-shaped stage prop to avoid the flames shooting out of the flame thrower aimed at him, which might have been built into a guitar neck, though I struggle to remember), and though nothing extraordinary happened to me at that show, I'll never forget it, and I was already old and jaded when I saw it. That's one lucky, lucky kid. Good on him!
  • Absolutely phenomenal my little dude. TIL telling him to hold on to the railing was so sweet. He was happy for the pick and then gets to surf. Bloody brilliant. Rock on 🫶🏻🤘🏻
  • Absolut genial, diesen Moment wird Lars nie wieder vergessen. Das zeigt mal wieder, wie toll die Jungs von Rammstein sind.
