Another massive game test comp. of a decade old but gold platform in modern PC titles. Sorry for being half a year late. Turn on notifications to never miss an upload! 🔔
  • Before Ryzen there was no real competition from AMD, so Intel didn't have to meaningfully "improve" their CPUs every generation (refreshes and clock bumps) this is why their 10+ year old I7s still run modern games at decent frame rates.

I love this kind of videos , i just love it. Remember the 920 supports ddr3 tri-channel , which has more Bandwidth and less latency than DDR4 , if you OC DDR3 you can get to 2133Mhz or even slightly more.

Wow you back :) welcome alive my friend :) and we are here too as always

Wait, the Crew 2 works on an i7 920? Did they remove the thing blocking it from the beta as they didn't allow any intel i processors before 2011 from loading the game.

Thanks for the excellent videos/games. I have an X58 motherboard, and a I7 [email protected] ghz. Ive still got two 480GT’s in sli from 6-7 years ago ! Since you have a 1080TI coupled with a i7 920, could I use one of the modern GFX cards, like the RTX-2070/RTX-2080? As its a very long time since I updated and wondering wether THE PCI-EXPRESS 16 on the X58 is comparable with these cards?
  • I have the i7 920, D0, OC'ed to 3.6Ghz on V1.2 running prime95 stable with temps never exceeding 55C. (Zalman 9900 Full Copper Air Cooler). Would the GTX 1050 Ti be a good candidate for this system?
  • @c.dasilva575
where did you get drivers for that mobo on windows 10?
  • Hey great video. I have this same setup : D, I7 920 @ 4ghz from 2008 (still going strong), gtx 1080ti. I can get the cpu to 4.2 ghz but it doesn't really make a noticeable difference. It works great so not much reason to upgrade until the cpu or motherboard dies.
