This might just be the most boring kitchen I have ever seen! Everything is white, beige, and brown. Let’s see if we can infuse it will color, style, and personality for less than $300! Oh, and we have to do it in a rental friendly way, so we’ll be installing peel and stick backsplash tiles, peel and stick wallpaper, and other landlord approved changes. I hope you’ll let me know what you think!

Thank goodness I can escape from all of the bad news and watch Sherry bring light in!
  • WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! Madison hit the jack pot having her own interior designer.❤❤❤

I'm glad to find a decorating channel that shows regular (not expensive) homes with changes to make on a budget. Finally! Thank you.
  • How TOTALLY FORTUNATE for these kids to have a family member with such amazing taste and abilities ❤❤❤❤❤

Wow, Sherry, what a difference! I bet your son and his girlfriend love it. How nice it is to have parents who help out. My husband and I have always done so with our sons.
  • Oh, Sherry! No one can top you! What a treat to go to YouTube and you have made-over a room AND it looks like this!!! You are the reigning Queen of Decordom!

The redo of their kitchen is absolutely adorable. It is so warm and cozy. I love it and I’m sure your son and his girl does too. Just another great job, as always 😊

You are definitely the mother of the year for all you did for your son & his girlfriend!! Hope they realize how lucky they are to have you & your talents!! Gorgeous updo👏👏👏
  • Really beautiful! You turned a builder's grade kitchen into an elegant, welcoming heart of the home! And...there's nothing like a durable wallpaper to improve a pony wall under a bar. You've outdone yourself; how blessed Spencer and Madison are to have you!!
  • This kitchen looks much more lovely and elegant with the updates. The paper on the lower peninsula is a far better improvement over the plain wooden space.
  • What an unbelievable transformation the landlord will love you! He will probably beg them to leave everything up when they decide to move out!

The kitty is the REAL star of the video LOL! So ready and willing to help out and do stuff for you I have some very furry "supervisors" of my own.
  • It looks so expensive. Honestly its so classy it looks like thousands have been spent. I love that a young couple have such elegant traditional taste

Ahh there’s the bird! It all came together beautifully. They are so lucky to have a DIY mother☺️

Alot of landlords aren't allowing peel and stick tiles and wallpaper any more because they do still peel the paint off when removed. So what I did is staple foam board to the walls, sealed the seams, and placed my tiles and wallpaper on it. With this method, you could also use regular wallpaper, real cloth with wallpaper glue etc. This way when you move, it's super fast to remove, leaves no holes or damages at all. Staple markings are so tiny, when they repaint before new renters, the paint fills them in, plus, you can't even see the staple marks anyway. Just staple the 4 corners and 1 in the center. You'll thank me later when you have to move. Plus, your wall decor, colors etc is limitless with this method!
  • It is so amazing how the black cabinet hardware really does bring all of the beautiful veining in the wood....from bland to POP!!! You have such an eye and imagination. Love this space.
  • I saw a Sherry Video. I said, What's going on? Oh yes, it's MONDAY! Hurray!
