FILM DESCRIPTION:
During Prohibition, loudmouth Harlem grifter Ray (Eddie Murphy) and the no-nonsense Claude (Martin Lawrence) team up on a bootlegging mission to Mississippi that could bring them big bucks. But they run into trouble when a crooked lawman hits them with a phony murder charge. Ray and Claude are given life sentences and shipped off to jail, where they must think of a way to prove their innocence and avoid the brutal guards while battling their biggest enemies -- their opposing personalities.

This scene says a lot about Ray. The fact that he lied to Claude about having a legitimate map just to get Claude to come along because he knew how stubborn Claude was shows how much he cared for Claude. He didn’t want to escape and leave Claude behind. It always made me feel kind of bad for Ray since he obviously valued their “friendship” more than Claude did, as Claude didn’t even really see Ray as a friend until they were old men well into their 50’s. The scene when Ray said “you gonna take that back or we ain’t friends no mo” and Claude saying they never were friends always hit me hard. Really great but sad movie

2024 Can't believe it's been 25 Years Since this Classic Scene and Movie 🎥. Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence are Both Certified Comedic Legends. "Life" is an Underrated 💎💎. Ray was a Real Friend/Patna cuz he could've left without Claude but he didn't. Claude always showed he wasn't never Ray friend like that even told him he wasn't before they fell out. I hated how they got Caught 25 Years Later 😅 25 Years Later still One of my Childhood favorites. Glad I Grew up to this Era.
