  • What the hell is a "chief experience officer"? Is that a real job because the title sounds made up. That and I don't think he knows what a "black swan" event really is.
  • @kirkstable
I know common sense is hard when you get paid to report what they tell you to.. but we’re not halfway through the year yet
  • Imagine the federal government not doing something efficiently…
  • Black swan….and what in the the hell is Chief of Experience….he looks like he just graduated. Blind leading the blind
  • My Son dropped out of University 2nd year, then got into Tile installation work, masterd the trade in a couple years, now he's making 6- figures and loves his work thakes 2 month vacation every summer

If 8.3 million applications have processed to date this year, that's 1.66 million a month putting them on track to process 19.97 million applications in a year. Not saying it's impossible they aren't being slow but being the reporters, maybe you people could actually get statistics that are relevant. Rather than hoping someone doesn't run the math on your infographic and figure out you're full of crap.
  • I had 2 sons and FAFSA was absolutely a nightmare. One year, they sent us a letter stating we weren't our children's parents. Why? Because my husband did not put his birth name on his part instead of what he is called. Then I didn't put my maiden name on there, even though I had changed to my married name through all the legal channels and had used my married name longer than my maiden name. To add insult to injury, you can not enroll into college unless you fill out this nightmare of a form. Leave it to our government to screw up forms.😅
  • I feel sorry for college students all my brothers and sisters went college Bachelor’s and Masters, most of friends. They’re not using their degree and I decided not to go and I make way more than them with a trade and just started a business. I’d love to tell these college kids to get a trade or buy existing business. I can go to college any time now just for purpose of higher education and for learning not grades so I’m not using my education for sole purpose of seeking higher income.
  • Oh my god! They have to do them by hand?! How long has it been, 30 years? Does anyone still know how to read forms without a computer????!!!
  • With what's going on in the college's now it would be smarter to go to a trade school learn a trade make 100 Grand a year with an education that cost you less than $10, 000 for 2 years. And you get to retain your common sense.
  • Community college is your best bet. Avoid the expensive college route, no value for most degrees.
  • I am your savior. I am the chief armchair professional, know all the answers to all questions, common sense coordinator.
  • If I were the parent of a rising college freshman I’d want them to take a gap year next fall.

DOE needs to be disbanded, eliminated. Federal aid needs major reforms. Monies need to be considered not just based on financial need but what a student's MAJOR is-is it a truly marketable major? Will the student be able to get a job and make enough to repay a LOAN?
