If you think Baiken's your waifu, she's not. You're hers.
-
Baiken's the name, Nuetral's her game, Her damn floorboards, Are a rushdown's bane.

Baiken's Intro Translation "I humbly ask, I humbly ask: though 'tis sudden, where doth lie Hell? Whilst the demons laugh, the people weep. Since it doth lie outside the bounds of virtuous deeds, I shall undertake the task of felling the Netherworld. For I am a vulgar samurai of lowest rank. I have not intent of dying the honorable death of a warrior."

Rejoice, brothers. Best samurai Baiken has finally come to GGST.
-
It is a testament to how perfect Momentary Life was for Baiken's theme that they essentially just remixed it into Rokumon
-
which eye gets the eyepatch? game devs: yes

Baiken ain't nobody's waifu. She picks the waifu.
-
She's back and angrier than ever.

Baiken was, by far, the most overpowered HUMAN character in the early Guilty Gear games, second only to Ky Kiske (but not by much.) ...This is displayed in one of the endings of her Accent Core story, where she's able to go toe-to-toe with someone like Ky and not even break a sweat. (She even fought I-No when she was at her "full" power (read: boss version I-No aka Midnight Carnival I-No.) and came out on top.) Despite having only one arm, she's still able to draw her blade at inhuman speeds and has a multitude of hidden weapons where her missing arm was. She's also one of the few non-Gears and the only non-Outrage user to cross swords with the Command Gear, Justice, and walk away from it. So the fact that she's come out of her "retirement" means that something HUGE is about to go down...bigger than anything yet...or she's just sick of sitting on the sidelines and wants to do what she does best...KILL. She was actually one of my four mains in Accent Core. (The other three being Justice, Order-Sol, and Ky.) But she was the only main I was able to keep a decent W/L ratio with in multiplayer, after getting good enough to get into ranked matches. Needless to say, she's just that strong, and now she's EVEN STRONGER.

Rokumon is a reference to the amount of mon, which is currency, you need to pass the Sanzu river. Which is Roku, or six.

This theme is so kickass, and fits Baiken perfectly. The hard rock hailing from her aggressive and relentless attacks and skill, contrasted by the peaceful, traditional sections of the song, reflecting her calmer and methodical nature. Truly a masterpiece, in my opinion.

Came here after Baiken reveal for Strive. We're in for another banger soundtrack once she comes out.

Welcome to Samurai Shodown Baiken!
-
Baiken's theme song is actually called "Tatami Gaeshi". Has great lyrics.
-
SHES COMING TO STRIVE BOYS!!!
-
Baiken She's Back in Guilty Gear Strive LET'S FREAKING GOOOOOO!!!
-
The intro of this song feels like the painfully slow and tense unsheathing of a sword followed by an equally nerve-wracking staredown between two warriors, until the battle finally explodes into a flurry of slashes, explosions and crazy bullshit.
-
Added SFX: TATAMI- TATAMI GAE- TATAMI- TATAMI GAESHI! .... *opponent ukemis TATAMI GAESHI!
