Spy is an everywhere man... if he can use his cloak well, he'll vanish as quickly as he appears...

Thanks again to ‪@Megaboomlord‬ for helping some of the filming and to ‪@elmaxoTF2‬ and ‪@TheWhatShow‬ for the cameos.

A few corrections and things I missed: .Water droplets when coming out of water are visible on your for a brief moment while cloaked. .You can hear the spy's footsteps while cloaked .The loose cannon and force of nature also cause knockback while disguised

I don't even want to play Spy, i just watch these because they're so well made
  • 12:40 I was listening to this in the background, and thought my adblock failed me for a minute there.
  • @omegon2540
as a pyro player i can confirm that a revealed spy is impossibly distracting after they kill someone
  • A few notes I have not seen in the comments. • Running out of cloak is louder than a voluntary decloak. • Jumping with the C&D wastes cloak as your up and down movement is also counted. • Spend some time on your favorite maps attempting jumps that slower classes would not be able to pull off, and observer what props are rarely checked. (Map knowledge) • If a prop is rarely checked and you are able to get on top of it, juke away from it while cloaking. Once cloaked jump onto it or slide behind it. On another note, I like to dmg surf as medic as well as spy. It is amazing how quickly Soldier mains get tilted that you are using their rockets to escape them.

One thing about the dead ringer is that people tend to chase you more if they see you have it out, you can use this to help out your local demoman and lure them into sticky traps, as the rush of chasing a spy down tends to distract enough for them not to notice
  • Damn, those SFM are absolute fire, mate! Great work on them, I adore the stylization choices. Especially when it coincides with the scripting, that spy ad was a lazy purple-level moment of quality there.

More huge tips. People do not look up, hiding on top of anything at all decreases your chances of being caught drastically. Crouching beside small elevations is also a good way to hide as people don't often see if coming. Finally, sometimes it can be a good idea to simply hide in the last spot your opponents expect. Sometimes I find success hiding in the middle of a room/area as people tend to check walls and corners (though this is heavily dependent on the situation). Also be sure to always look behind you before you cloak to ensure it is safe to do so and do your best to conceal your decloak in case you get unlucky and someone walks by. One of my most common spy deaths is someone just materializing behind me when I decloak

6:55 Your Eternal Reward has got to be the most underrated knife, SILENT BACKSTABS, absolutely broken.

The priest spy is back at it again with some invisible awesomeness, gotta say Jonto, this is a great video. Keep em coming!

14:05 If you misspell "lose" as "loose" again I will spycheck you with a flamethrower IRL
  • The editing is getting absurd on this channel dude, major props! Loved the video, and that L'etranger ad segment killed me LOL
  • @FloridaManYT
12:50 you got me. I was about to flip shit because i pay for YouTube premium so i dont see ads and that popped up and i really thought it was a ad.. Great editing

The Dead Ringer has an upside to the LOUD DECLOAK SOUND... If you fake the death of an ally at the start of a team fight, you can decloak behind the front line and half the enemy team will turn around to shoot at you (you should be behind cover) and your team will have free reign to shoot them in the backside because they were distracted by the spy that isn't even going to bother engaging with them right now.
  • @jimpargon
You can hear spies walk sounds even when they are cloaked so its best to crouch walk in quiet areas especially if you are being hunted. I've found countless spies by listening to their footsteps. Granted this doesn't always help which is why I said quiet areas because if there are sentry beeps, heavy rev up, soldier rockets, or people spamming voice lines. Your chances of hearing a spy are pretty much gone. Mostly helpful info for fellow cloak and dagger spies.

Whenever you cloak to escape you are so stressed you shake your mouse all over the place, it's the funniest shit ever xD Great video!
  • L'Etranger pair quite nicely with dead ringer because it can restore cloak... as long you hitting your shots
