  • Although your video was about cameras, your clips of your family together brought tears to my eyes. If we had chosen to do something like this as a family our kids may have turned out better and not be influenced by a society that took them in such bad directions. Now raising our grandchildren and watching your videos and others, traveling in our own state of WV we are finding our own dream. We may be late, but we are traveling when we can, and our travel trailer is making very good memories for them and us. God Bless y'all!

The early clips of your journey made me cry to see the kids so little and sweet Maddie. It’s so weird we don’t know you but through this documentation that you’ve made all these years we feel like we do.
  • I had no intention of watching this whole video. And yet here I am. Eyes drooping but a huge smile on my face. Only you guys could make this video educational, entertaining, and heartwarming. I’m going out to buy a drone, a camera, and SD cards and start my “how to take Christmas lights down” YouTube channel. Followers = 1
  • @mikenowak2360
Capture those memories....thanks for taking us along
  • This was wonderful. We started our channel months ago but only posted our 1st videos about a week ago. 'Perfect is done.' We'll have to remember this going forward.
  • #1 video you’ve ever done… for me, anyway. Came at the exact right time and was so well done. This is the technical, real-life information I’ve been yearning for. Thank you!
  • You guys are just the best (and no one else is even close)!!! Keep up the great work!!!
  • Dang, I got all sentimental in the beginning watching your kids grow up !!! Now, if I was a fraction as smart as Marc, I might be able to figure out and remember how to run one camera 😏 This was great info, I’ll watch it 30 times to try and learn something 😅 Safe travels….. Blessings

Hello Marc. I had no idea how demanding the videos had become and what an enormous amount of energy you put into it. I've been watching the channel since the beginning and it's only now that I realize how professional you've done the channel. it's like having a child where after a few years you only realize how big your child has gotten. you always inspire me. I love you guys. Greetings from Max from Germany
  • @sandrap3047
Love watching the old videos of your kids! They have grown up on YouTube. Brings tears to my eyes watching them!
  • @justlookin3
Thanks for sharing all the information in one video. Lots of the pieces make sense but it is nice to see them integrated with the images and the sound and what you’re using to put it all together. I often think I might be planning on making a YouTube channel about my photography and using apps to create art ; but those are thoughts and not actions. We will see what becomes of that. It’s wonderful to see your family grow up. And how touching that is.

Mark is so right about getting started and just getting the memories. This year for Christmas I made copies all of my pictures for my kids and gave each of them a drive. This even included scans I had done of my father's slides from when I grew so they got 3 generation's pictures. As for the gear, remember that Mark makes money on this so it pays for him to upgrade each version. Don't let that scare you. I do a lot of this and most of this gear will last you several versions and only pick up the versions that have something you REALLY want to pay for and can then afford. I went from a Go Pro 3 to a 9 because I got to a point I wanted to do more and got a better deal on the camera. If you are going to get into the bigger SLR camera's remember this, the main camera will upgrade almost every year and wears out faster but the Lens (or the glass) last a long time. If you have to spend more one place or the other get the better glass, it will do more for your over all photo quality than a better body. Again, remember you don't have to purchase every version either. FYI Cannon makes a lower, middle, and pro line of their camera bodies so check those out. This is an area where you might be able to get good deals on good used equipment, but of course there is a little more risk there. Finally, remember its digital so take A LOT of pics so you can pick your best one since you don't have to pay for development. Did I just date myself! Thanks for a great vid Mark. You answered several of my questions. Now if I ever run into you I won't have to hold you down while I ask them all, while Trish is trying to go to the cool restaurant in town then shopping.
  • @ThePeteutube
Thanks Mark. This was a big project and we appreciate your efforts to educate us and share your considerable experience.
  • Love how Charlie leaves and then shows up on the video behind you!
  • @indymoor
I vote for Gary to make a comeback! Keep up the great work!
  • @NoOverhead
I'm an "old man", too. But, you HAVE to check out the "star trails" feature on the 11. Just set it up, and set the timer. You don't have to wait for nighttime anymore lol. It creates such a unique night-lapse. Great video, and thanks for the insights!
  • @Hanr3
Great video. Thanks for sharing. It occurred to me while watching that you're not just capturing your Adventure. You're capturing America one slice at a time. You're capturing an American family enjoying the American way of life. All the freedoms, sites, sounds, food, culture, etc. of the American melting pot in 35-45 minute segments. it's a great representation of the American life in the 21st century. In a hundred years people can look back and see what was America like? We do that now and wish we could see the 18th, 19th centuries. Great job. Keep it up, and Keep the Day Dream!
  • Good job on the explanation for different GoPro ,and you are right about saving old videos and not doing anything with them 📽️👏 and thank you again say hi to the Family 👍
