The first African American to earn a doctorate of theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, he has been named one of the 12 Most Effective Preachers in the English-Speaking World by Baylor University. I'm watching this from my prison cell thinking about how far God has brought me .I've been incarcerated since 2013 i didnt take God serious umtill last year. My hunger to know God is insatiable and since i got saved my life im here has only gotten better.Pastor Evans I thank you for bringing me closer to Christ and teaching me about the word of God. I come home in 2025

I almost cried listening to this. Growing up without a father I never realized how skewed my perception of fatherhood is. I have no idea what it’s like address or come to a father because I’ve never had to. So my conversations with God reflect this absence. As a father now I’ve underestimated my the importance of my position and realize I have to do more, much more. Thank you for this!

I'm glad somebody realizes the position of the father in child-rearing. My father was VERY active and influential in our moral and spiritual maturity.
