Meteorologist Grant Skinner gives an update on the tropical activity in the Atlantic Basin. The News 5 First Alert Storm Team is tracking Potential Tropical Cyclone Five. It does not currently pose a threat to the News 5 area. PTC Five is currently located around 800 miles east of the Lesser Antilles in the central Atlantic. It will likely develop into a depression during the first half of this week. The next name on the list is Ernesto. Current forecast models keep a trough along the east coast of the US allowing for the system to turn north into the northern Atlantic.
