  • Two more minutes and homelander was about to snap on them. Neuman saved them.
  • I love how Homelander reverted to his milk fantasies after one reality check from people he can't simply lazer off
  • I do find it kinda funny. Homelander tries to pander to them like the VNN crowd and they were insulted that he was treating them like fools. Then Nueman steps up and what does she do? She panders to them. Tells them whatever they want to hear then massages their egos. The actual words and phrases were different but the treatment was identical.

I didn't like how they sidelined Sage with the lobotomy this episode but I guess it was worth it to remind us what a big baby Homelander is without his mommy, needing to be rescued by Victoria. It's been long enough since that shareholder meeting scene that I'm fine with being reminded

Neuman Nodding: We got this girl. Sage nodding: I can nod too!
  • I love this scene because usually Homelander makes people afraid but this is one of the few times that he is afraid. He can't threaten any of them with violence, he can't snap. It's like a reverse of every other scene. Especially the scenes in episode 4. He is completely powerless even though they are all humans, and all he talks about is how he's better than humans.
  • Look at the expression that Homelander is displaying. As prideful as he could get in his own effort, he is annoyed by the fact that Victoria was taking the spotlight. And that Sage was too busy munching on the cake, much to his hopelessness lol.

I like the consistency in the fact that Homelander flounders here. Sure, he has extensive media training and knows how to play a crowd. But that’s just it. He was specifically trained to manipulate the masses, not those who actually wield power at the apex of society. And the fact he fails to do so here reinforces the truth that he has always been a tool for the elite, even if he can literally pose a threat to them physically. Overall, even when has been elevated to high levels of influence and power, he is still incapable of fulfilling his ambitions without luck and the guidance of others more knowledgeable than him. Perhaps this level of higher manipulation can be a skill he can learn, but we all know he doesn’t have the patience for that.
  • 0:46 Victoria Neuman speaks the truth, also 'Democracy makes people feel safe' 'People are labour force' she thinks she's Emperor Palpatine 🤣
  • I'm surprised Homelander didn't just use his heat vision to threaten the elite into submission.

You can literally hear Stans tone in Victorias speech here. Phenomenal acting
  • @wizard1687
This is almost the exact speech given to Howard Beale in Network, a movie almost 50 years old
  • @mahari893
While I do enjoy Homelander getting barraged with geopolitical questions, I’m kinda disappointed Sage did not have a chance to explain her plan
  • Homelander wanted to cry so bad. He hates feeling emasculated. It probably stems from ptsd which is interesting.

I was afraid he's going to laser them because of how humiliated he felt i mean look at him 1:09 he was so close to crying.
