I was about 10 when my parents first got cable around 1986, the first day we got it this was on hbo, i was like damn im gonna love cable if i get to see movies like this everyday!

i love how this first scene was shot the race in the dark thru the desert is sooo cool and its raw and real no cgi effects just good ol fashion movie making raging soundtrack too got to love it!

I Haven't Seen This Movie In A Long Time First Time I Seen This It Was On HBO Back In The Late 80's When I Was A Small Kid One The Best Movies With Charlie Sheen

...Literally, the greatest movie intro.. ever

I was about 6 as I found the videotape of this film on the shelf in the house of my Aunt, I put that into the VCR and I was watching it alone. I remember I did not understand a lot of things in this film with my young mind, and also there was scenes where I was not able to see what happens, e.g after the first deadly race, Loumis left the bad guys alone, and Packard sat into the car with Carry. He took the knife, and cuts his hand, forcing Carry to taste his blood. I rewatched the film later in almost every year period, maybe I was 14 as I noticed that. Imagine that Skunk drank almost every fluid which is lethal to during this movie, and because he is cool (at least for me for a young man as I was time) I could have do also the same. BUT because Packard had power over the all team, he was the boss, thus he was cooler than skunk, deep in me I took his advice, and never tried that kind of drink, because I did not wanted to became mushroom. Anyway of course that time was Carry my love idol, and I wanted to be as handsome as Charlie Sheen. I don't remember how I reacted on the scarry part, as the bad boys lacerate Jamie, and killed him. The quality of the copied VCR tape was not the best, so maybe I skipped the dark scenes. Because Jamie was reborn, the fact that he was killed, was not a big deal. There were other movies that time in the TV where an almost killed protagonist came back living. Some cats has also 9 lives. :)
