Here it is ↓ ↓ ↓ (1/2) When on the streets Todd usually hanged around communities as most of the loners do around there with not really having a place to belong. One day how ever todd noticed another kid while at the meet ups, it was a plus to him it was someone his age and was surprised to had never see before. Hoping to befriend him todd tries to appear friendly but that only warded off the other kid even faster. Having noticed he never took any rations Todd thought he would go to his own lil food source he found and offer it to him, it worked when it lead to them trying to get more apples from the tree and todd falling out of it. It made the other laugh which Todd was grateful for. Upon their first true conversation Todd learns how the boy also wished things would be different here, that it would change for everyone- and to know someone who dreamed like him was a new feeling. From there Todd and the boy (who he found out was called Varian) slowly started to linger around each other, at first it was just somehow meeting each frequently (kind of- Todd did kind of tracked him down sometimes) to just always meeting at a certain time somewhere. That lead to them just finally deciding to become travelling companions. It was delightful for Todd to have someone he could play with, to call a friend. The same was for Varian as he didn’t form any of social acquaintances, even with the nicest communities around there like Todd at least had done. It was well though, they scraped by and were okay and could rely on each other and that was all they needed. However in their Kingdom there lies many issues, but one thing every lower class citizen is terrified of is the guards. Todd had seen before what they’ve done and will do and knows to not mess with them. Varian was unbeknownst to that unspoken rule as he tried to get his own rations- but with a guard thinking he was getting seconds he called him out. Varian could only stay quiet but knew he was not at fault for that, The guard got annoyed with the lack of communication seeing it as a sign of disrespect however- taking his spear and swung. Todd turned his head when he heard Varian cry out- seeing him on the ground with a gash in his leg, blood spattered on the dirt. He ran to him, profusely apologizing to the guard as he begged the taller man to forgive him, trying to drag varian away- The guard only huffed as he went and focused on some other group to hand food. Todd of course panicking took Varian to a small group he thought could help- They could only do so much though as the the gash was deep and tried to sanitize and stitch it closed. After bandaging him the best advice they could give was to just stay still and don’t reopen it. Varian wasn’t comfortable staying with these people but Todd still somehow managed to convince him. That plan was ruined however when another one of those days came, Todd was unsure why it happened but he knew it was today with seeing so many panicked like last time, he was sure that it was the crowd reacting to what they just saw and running away hiding. Even the community they were staying with left their spot to hide and run away. So with waking Varian up and urging him to get up and come with him- they tried to sneak to near their Tree which was the only place Todd could think of. They didn’t get far as Varian’s wound was reopened. All the excess moving started making him bleed out and the pain was too much, he felt like passing out. Todd felt helpless as he tried to get Varian up after he collapsed, but noticed over looming figures above him fly by. “There here-” he thought, quickly unfurling his wings and grabbing Varian to hide themselves with hovering his wings on top of them. He started feeling Varian's wavered breathing slow down- becoming quieter and quieter. He was really panicking now- what the hell should he do?? Try to move him?? Go back and get supplies and come back?? What if something happens when he is gone??? He can’t leave him- what should he do?? Feeling frustrated and scared Todd cries out for help- hoping someone would come back for them, he can’t carry Varian on his own. He quickly regretted that decision though remembering his circumstance- it was too late however as he felt an over looming figure, seeing the ground get darker under him. He looked up to see a guard- one much bigger than them. She didn’t have a weapon but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t kill them still. He was anxious but desperate, so so desperate to keep him alive. “Are you going to hurt us?” he asked- not shakily but definitely in a tone of fear. The guard over looked them, giving a look Todd couldn’t understand. She reached down however- grabbing Varian in a flash and walking away- Todd scrambled up as he grabbed on to Varian's hand, attempting to pull back- “NO! PLEASE- ” he cried- he felt it as the guard stopped, turning to him with that look again. “Do you think you can you keep up with me?” she said as she lifted up her wings, Todd knew what she meant, and wasn’t really sure he if could but nodded. “Yes, ma’am.” he replied quietly with all the respect he could give and unfurled his wings too. Varian woke up in somewhere new- it was bright. He noticed Todd besides him, he looked tired but happy to see him. He noticed his leg felt sore though- it hurt to move it.

I've only met these two for 3 minutes and I'm already curls up into a ball of pain and tears

Alternate ending: “dispose of him” as the guards walked towards him, Todd didn’t try to run or fly away. Instead he looked Varian in the eyes hoping he would find any sign of the old Varian he had loved since they were kids and waited for the guards to come. As the guards started to pummel Todd into the ground, all of their memories together started pouring into Varian’s head. Just as a guard was about to deliver the final blow, Todd let out a horse “I love you” that was filled with so much passion and emotion and sadness that the guard almost hesitated before stabbing their spear into Todd’s chest. “WAIT! STOP!” screamed Varian, as he realized that he was about to watch the death of the love of his life, but it was to late. Varian rushed over to Todd’s lifeless body, and realized what he had become. “leave…” Varian quietly said to the guards, as tears poured down his face. The guards looked to one another, and protested “but sir-“ “LEAVE.” Screamed Varian as he collapsed over Todd’s body. The guards flew away quickly, and left Varian to cry over Todd’s body throughout the night until their wasn’t a drop of liquid left in his body, and then he held Todd’s body in his arms and leaped over the edge of the pavilion and fell trough the sky never even trying to unfurl his wings.

How could I be so happy and cry within 3 fucking minutes?? This is beautiful. At first, I thought you had chosen the wrong song since it looked only like the story of a lovey dovey couple (super cute tho) but when Varian got brainwashed..... Oh lord. I cried a lot but also enjoyed it. Love your work, keep working, you do it great

A story of love and betrayal for corruption and power. What an amazing animatic and wonderful storytelling. This is a really good look into really deep emotions between some characters and I really love that. Good job on making this, I love it to bits!

This was amazing! I'm already hooked, and this is only the first episode! I'm also addicted to this song by Regina Spektor now. I've been listening to it on repeat for the last few days.
