Great video. I like the “real people” perspective, as opposed to all the “influencer” videos that are out there.
  • 14:24 These are known as "turtle cleaning stations" & yes, it's typically always there (if turtles are present) bc our Honū have learned to come back to the same spot for the reef fish to give their shells a cleaning (hence the name) A helpful tip for Hawaiian pronunciations: the "W" inside a word, makes a "V" sound. Awaʻawapuhi = Ah-vah-ah-vah-poo-he; Hawaiʻi = Ha-vai-E When the "W" begins the word, it makes a "Y" sound: Wailele = Why-lei-lei [means waterfall]; Waimea = Why-meh-AH

I really enjoyed all the information, but also the smooth delivery and coherant cuts and edits. It was easy to watch, which I appreciate!! Also, your wife has the most beautiful blue eyes. Feature those more! Your voice is mellow and inviting!! Great to see older folks like myself doing the things I like to do, hiking, swimming, golf, etc...on vacation. I really feel well informed to plan my vaca to Kauai. Keep 'em coming. These videos are really good. Thanks.
  • One of the most informative and helpful videos of the dozens I’ve seen. Thanks for your perspective.

Mahalo, I’m glad you did all the hikes for me. Lol. I am going tomorrow. My last trip I did the doors off helecopter for $100. If you are single and can fit in a flight you can get a deal. It was a MUST do. Spectacular…..worth every cent. Then I did the boat ride to the Pali…..again …awesome. This time I am going to get an SUV and a mattress at Costco. I have a credit card if it gets too crazy, but I plan on sleeping in the car for 4 nights.
