I Spent 1 Year Creating My First Game... Last year I downloaded Unity and got started learning how to make games. One year later, I have made a lot of progress on a game called MultiPlatformer, a multiplayer 3D platformer / racing game hybrid. Take a look at everything I was able to do, and maybe you will want to try out Unity for yourself!

yooo can't believe this got recommended to me, I was in that class and remember seeing you show this off. cool to see you're still working on it
  • @onsidekun3
I'm pretty sure this is good progress for a year of work since you did the animations and level design by yourself edit: the artist did an amazing job, really suits the game
  • @wyatt2605
Man this was really inspirational, you're doing amazing work on your game so far. Keep it up!
  • @turkialashiekh
I'll be mad if this doesnt go viral. The editing is amazing, and the content is full. I don't think I even need to point this out, but the game is great as well. Easily one of the best indie games in development as of right now. 10/10.

This dude just started and did much more than I did during entire year...

I really love videos like this. Even though I've used Unity for a long time, it's so cool seeing what people make using it, especially when they get to grips with it so quickly like this. Looks way more complete than any projects I've made!
  • @MythicLegionDev
I actually completely embraced the Unity roll-a-ball tutorial to begin my "official" game dev journey XD Really cool to see your progress over a year and how you stuck with it - that's not easy to do! Keep up the great work!

This is actually pretty inspirational, this looks like a big company made this. Keep doing the good work, I kinda want to learn to code too.
  • @beckyboy1
This is extremely motivating. I tried game dev but gave up because I felt as if I wasn’t making any progress, but seeing this I’m realizing I was making about as much progress you were. I just gave up. I think I’m gonna go back to it and try again with some new ideas

me who’s been also “developing” a game for a year but hasn’t opened the project in 3 months..
  • @Melkweg7
This is so inspiring. As someone who's been on and off with TRYING to start game development, this video makes me have hope that I could some how make a game one day. Love everything about this 👏👏👏
  • @Silicontent
I've always wanted to learn game development as well, but like you, I haven't come up with anything that I really want to work on. Hearing that someone was in the same position as me and managed to get out of it really motivates me to keep trying. Awesome video, and I hope to see more update videos on your game until it's completed. Nice job!
  • @notagamedev3744
Im currently trying to make a game and the models myself and it was great to watch your progress , felt good to know i wasnt the only person with the "what now?" thought. Keep up the good work man. Thanks!
  • @LoudSodaCaleb
Wow, this is really impressive! I feel like this is a lot of work done for just a year, it looks really polished and profressional. I hope you are continuing this project!
  • @AKi-RiN-DA
I just started wih unity and started making a card game. It's crazy how fast you got the hang of things. Keep it up!
  • @PKshade12
Inspiring, I've been developing for about a year but I'm still in the 'which tutorial next' phase since I've had interruptions like moving, though it makes me want to get back into the groove and put my foot on the pedal, thank you for your great content!
  • @Roshen_Nair
Really inspiring work, Cody! I hope to make more DevLogs like this on my channel in the future.
