Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Review: sink or swim?

Published 2024-05-02
In a world of connected universes and franchises, one that attempted to rival the massive success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was with the DC Extended Universe that had seen its share of films that were hits and misses and creations of a massive cult following. Before they head off into rebooting the DC Universe with Gunn and Safran, today we are talking on the last film of the project released for the old universe and that comes with the sequel of their most profitable film of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and you will find out today if this film is smooth sailing or if it will sink itself and the universe to the depths of the ocean.

I think Godawful is closer to the truth. I thought is was painful throughout. I give it 4 out of 10 for the visuals alone. The only movie I like in the whole DCU is Gunn's Suicide Squad.. there are others that are good in parts like Wonder Woman and Superman Returns (yes, that one). We know Momoa can act but in this he's stiff as a board and still the others are more rigid than he is.. and don't get me started on the story because it's too infantile even for The A-Team.
