Wow! When Vishy says he passed on the baton means Gukesh is the next Chess star of the world . These words don’t come easy from a 5 time world champion. Respect. With his help Gukesh should win the world championship 👑. Gary Kasparov said Vishy Anand’s children are on the loose !! 🎉😊

This man knows better than anyone about world championship matches. He played WCH matches against people like Kasparov, Karpov, Kramnik, Carlsen, Gelfend, Topalov... etc. His entire career was built around playing WCH matches and winning 5 times. Who else better to guide Gukesh on his historic journey...

6:04 Some super GMs across the world are Ling Diren, Carlnus Magsan, Nakaru Hakamura, Girish Ani, Gudit Vidrathi, Prangyababu Rameshnanda etc... And the highest rated player - Magnes Kalicharan

Anand is such a class act. He is easily the best world champion ever in terms of being an ambassador for the game.
  • So, a bit of history for people who came to chess recently. This is not new in Chess. So the strongest country by far has been Russia because they have produced so many good players. There is something called the Russian school of chess. But that was started by a Russian world champion called Mikhail Botvinnik. All the famous Russian chess players you know are products of that school. He personally taught and when he got old, the new players taught. Anand is the patriarch of the Indian school of chess, and Gukesh winning this has stamped the authority of WACA in the world chess scene. Kudos to Vishy sir. He has done something that very few players can do. Make a difference in the world. Even Magnus hasn't been able to bring a chess revolution in Norway, despite being a really strong player.

As a Pakistani I'm very happy to see Indians playing so well at the highest level in chess. I followed the event closely I watched agadmators commentary on each match.....I was actually rooting for Pragg and he had his moments, but Gukesh played excellent chess throughout the tournament. Congratulations to him and to indian chess fans!
  • Why the media so disrespectful of Ding to pronounce the current world champion's name wrong? :( Vishy is very wise. "Prepare against the strongest version of your opponent", "You never know when that version will come back".

the 🐐 himselfs says "i Passed on baton..🙏🏻" But the interesting thing is he didn't pass it to just one individual called gukesh..!! He passed it to a dozen players who are incredibly talented and will challenge any world class player in future..❤ Nobody influenced a sport like vishy sir did in India Even cricketing legend Sachin had sunny gavaskar as his idol and he knew the pathway to become a greater player But vishy sir had none and that makes his contribution to Indian sport is unmatchable ❤❤

Once you prepare for world championship with players like Anand and all.. you move to a different realm.. we all know the world championship players have such amazing understanding of the game.. since they get through the very crust of the game.. and we all know carlsen when pressed hard just goes to one of his world championship prepared game and wins.. that's how much valuable playing a wc match is..
  • @raju1950
By this time vishy should have been awarded bharath rathna
  • @3:53 this shade of Gukesh is so so good and intense...Vishy Anand has made India Proud single handedly by giving stars like Gukesh,Pragg,,,,,endlesss champs....
  • The fact that there is a group of players that inspire and challange each other speaks for India. In 1989-and for a few years Sweden managed to break the chineese tabletennis dominance. Whith the same concept, we had 5 players in the top 20. We won three world-team champioships in a row and two individual gold medals and also olympic gold medal. If the indian players work together they have a chance to dominate chess in the future.
