Regarding the Fable/UE thing, I'm sure the Devs are confident in Forzatech and would have prototyped the hell out of it before committing to its use. No one wants to go through a Duke Nukem Forever dev cycle (though that was three engine swaps at least?).

I genuinely do expect a price raise in XGP, they did just invest $77 Billion in the last two years on content just in the last two acquisitions. BUT, unlike Rand, I believe there is no way that $5 is going to be how much they will raise it by. I truly feel it will be closer to $3. The price raise around the reveal of the "Family Plan" is a very good idea.

30fps for Starfield wouldn't shock me after what Todd said. As for blank planets for user content, it's fine but for me it will all be about THEIR handcrafted content.

For Starfield I agree with Jez, limited edition console and controller. Also, someone made a mockup with Todd Howard’s face on the box way back when, THAT needs to happen! For bundles, why not 1 year GamePass Ultimate?

The reason why Microsoft is ok with unions. 1. Stability for employees ( they won't want to leave) 2) unions will help police bad work conditions. 3)cap to pay.

I think Hogwarts Legacy can outsell Diablo 4 upfront but definitely not lifetime unless it turns out to be some sort of Witcher 3 and Skyrim level mainstream phenomenon that ends up selling 40+ million copies lifetime then yeah, especially because Diablo 4 will likely end up on Game Pass at some point if the ABK deal goes through.

I feel like everyone is actually downplaying the pull of Harry Potter. Sure, there is controversy but no one actually cares about that outside of social media, it's all posturing. Hogwarts Legacy will probably sell around 30 million copies by year end. It's allowing millions of adults to play out their childhood fantasy of attending Hogwarts. It's going to be HUGE.

Hogwarts Legacy is such an interesting game. The studio making it is not exactly a world class team. It really comes down to the IP and I believe the imagination of what others think this game will be. I think there will be a willingness to overlook the flaws with this one, as so many people have been waiting for a serviceable Harry Potter game. It's also perhaps one of the last cross-gen games and it shows. I mean the game's eventually coming out on the Switch.
