  • He was THE most brilliant actor/director/stuntman/writer in all of Hollywood history. He was a freaking genius! God, I LOVE this man!!!

"Some rocks are involved" -- understatement! Beautiful chase scene, beautiful score.

Fantastic scene. One of the best chase scenes in cinema history....but Keaton reportedly hated it for the unfair reviews it got. Personally, I loved this film. The man was a genius. MGM ruined him.
  • Buster Keaton had to be some kind of athlete to do what he did here - not to mention in terrific physical condition.

Buster Keaton laughs at The Fast and the Furious. He don't need no car!

I remember the boulder scene from when I was a young child. Have loved Buster Keaton from the moment I saw this scene way back in the 60s.
  • 1925. When frames covered in painted canvas could actually pass as boulders. Love the movie magics. And, damn, that man was FIT.

I dont care how bad ass you are...you will never be "buster Keaton running down the hills while gigantic rocks threaten to flatten you" badass
  • @squelto
i like the part where he's like "screw it i'll take on the rocks instead!"

You know, Keaton didn't actually want to make this film but couldn't refuse. The scene with the rocks was one of the only things he added himself. Originally it was suppose to fade out right after he hits the first stones. But Keaton, after completing the film and reviewing it, said it was missing something and added the scene with the rolling rocks...

You need to recut this and add the part where all the brides are coming out of alleys and stuff by the hundreds =P This is easily one of the greatest, most entertaining chase scenes of all time.

....1:33....Whoaaaa, that man was an athlete. I have so many of his films on dvd and I'm always having to muck around with them trying to figure out how he could possibly do some of the stunts that he performed. Amazing. I guess it comes from his childhood on the Vaudeville stage with his mom and dad.
