Broken Transfer Case In Pritchett Canyon

2024-08-17に共有
We were contacted by a group of jeepers that were in Pritchett Canyon Trail and had one jeep break it was late in the day so we asked them to leave it and we went in the next morning to get it. We took the buggy and Wile E. Once to the vehicle we realized it had front wheel drive and could kind of move itself. So Shawn drove it down Rocker Knocker and then we pulled it down the trail to Chewy Hill. Then Shawn drove it down that and we pulled it the rest of the way out to the trailer. Once again a difficult job was made easier by a great crew. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us, we truly appreciate it.

  • I imagine for most people, Pritchett is enough of a challenge, but to do it dragging a dead CJ, driving one handed swinging a camera, whilst spotting for Shawn, is just mad😂. And Mike, you must do some miles, following on foot, rock stacking, spotting, going back for Wile…and all of this in a desert? You’re all nuts, but I’m glad you are!

3 amigos rescue and recovery video. “We do good work”. Team Trailmater never ceases to entertain and educate. Setting the bar once again.
  • Towing a dead vehicle up stuff I couldn’t drive myself. Damn guys, you certainly know your shit.
  • I have thought for a while Rory could drive these trails with his eyes closed because he’s driven them so much. He proved that in this video by driving and turning the wheel appropriately around huge boulders while looking AND aiming the camera completely in back of him to guide Shawn! Rory is the ace driver of off-road rescue! 👌👍👏
  • You 3 make a great crew. Shawn your driving was superb. Having Rory as your spotter is an added plus. Thanks for sharing
  • It amazes me that people play in that terrain. It flabbergasts me to watch you drag out dead vehicles. It's simply amazing.

I have done a lot of stuff in my life. I mean a lot. But man you guys impress me with what you do. The 4 wheeling thing is one I never got into. I use to think, “ why would anyone want to do something at less than a mile an hour”. You see I have been into racing cars my whole life. Drag cars, sprint cars and stock cars. Later in life I bought a brand new JK two door Rubicon. I owned it a year before I took it out to try and learn to wheel. I went once. It scared the shit out of me and I sold it 4 months later. I guess going fast was more my thing rather than slow and afraid of flipping down a mountain. My hat is off to all of you that are into this sort of thing.

I was part of that group, and this was my first trip to Pritchett (the rest had done it before). That trail is a kick in the sack. You guys made it look easy, then towed the broke jeep out like it was nothing - at least after editing. Strong work. Great job. Thanks for helping Cory out. It broke his heart that his baby didn't finish the trip. And I love your channel. My jeep was on it for about 2 seconds while you were out recovering another jeep while we were driving up to the top of the world last year. Hopefully we'll not make any further appearances.
  • l don't know why but l find watching these rescues to be incredibly cathartic. lt must the calm way Rory and the boys just keep steadily plugging away . No yelling. No rip tear and bust . Just cool professional work with a refreshing sense of humour . And l am learning all kinds of things about unusual and difficult rigging and towing along the way . Very enjoyable viewing .
  • Rory is driving with one handed, filming with another, climbing a ledge, and pulling a disabled jeep up another ledge. And regular drivers are white knuckling it getting their one jeep along the trail. You go Rory! Fun to watch, and educational too.
  • You guys have guts, doing these trails at all can be nerve racking but pulling out a broken vehicle to boot ups the level to 11. Another good video, thanks for sharing.
  • Y'all make these recoveries look so easy. The rest of us mortals would be scratching our heads and would still not get it done. As always, excellent job.
  • To take a comprised vehicle thru those areas takes major cajones, Shawn is the man. Best team out there.
  • Nice on the trail interview with customer. Good thing the towee at least helped with front wheel drive. That trail was a trough one.
  • If you didn’t have the Trail Mater name, you could be called Pritchett Canyon Recovery!! I’d still watch, Thanks for the video!!
  • As always Rory has the tools and team for the job, impressive as always.
  • The Problem solvers have arrived. Carefull, don't give away all of the customer's secret upgrades. Thanks for taking us along
  • Got to get back to work on my wife’s car will watch later. Thanks guys
