Why one of the greatest inventors of all time died penniless.

*Correction: @ 7:03 It's debated who "discovered" America. The 400th anniversary of the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893 marked Christopher Columbus' voyage to the Americas.

“I don't care that they stole my idea; I care that they don't have any of their own” - Nikola Tesla

As kids, we read about Edison; As adults,we know who's the hero. RIP Nikola.

After receiving the Nobel Prize someone asked Einstein what it feels like to be the smartest man in the world to which he replied "I don't know, you'd have to ask Tesla".
  • He will never be forgotten.....No matter how much the media tries.
  • The Bad guy wins and Dies ,the Good guy loses but is Immortal in everyone's memory...

His only mistake was thinking that everyone else was as kind hearted as him

Sadly, his life is an example of the fact that not everyone's dedication and goodness is noticed. Rest in peace, legend.
  • He is clearly not forgotten. He is my favorite Inventor and creator. He was a hundred years ahead of his time

The only man that wanted the best for humanity and was selfless.

If you drive a stolen Tesla, you'll be called Edison.
  • Tesla was Serbian scientist and engineer. We here in Serbia have the biggest respect for him. A lot of engineering schools are named after him, in physics classrooms, his portrait is the biggest and have the a mining for us. Airport, money, science festivals, competitions.. all of them are named after him.
  • My physics teacher told us today about this legend and I couldn't control myself to more about this man!! He was truly a GENIUS It's really heartbreaking that whenever we hear about light only Edison comes to our mind and not the OG one :/

I wouldn’t be surprised if Edison burned Tesla’s laboratory...

Those dislikes are from Thomas Edison’s multiple accounts

Had a project back in elementary school where students would pick a person considered as important (hard to explain exactly what teacher wanted), dress up as them, and explain their story and contributions to people who showed up to the event (other students, parents, etc). My mother was the one who brought up Nikola Tesla to me and, to this day, I'm glad she did. I think only 1 person even recognized him (classmates, teacher, parents/people who came to the event). It was kind of awkward though, since a classmate (good friend of mine) chose Thomas Edison.

"I spent all my life trying to help people, and all i got in return was humiliation" - Nikola Tesla

After doing some research on Nicola Tesla, I realized that he lived and worked for mankind while those around him, lived for money and only themselves. What a great man he was.

This guy is just...amazing. Schools should start teaching more about Nikola rather than focusing solely on Edison's light bulb.
