Austria is just the best place to live. I've been to so many different countries & I'm always so happy when I come back home. We have winters full of snow & hot summers with really cool lakes. There's nothing better than the life in one of the beautiful little cities in the middle of the Austrian Alps! :D
  • Mariazell/Styria is a very nice place to visit especially during the time before christmas

I know I needed more pictures but I just had old camera pictures not the digital ones and they tend to look a bit... hmmmm... bad when I scan them in. I will do better! I am hoping to go to linz and graz if not summer 2014 than 2015 and we will have some more specialized videos on them. all the best and thank you for the nice comment and extra Austria tips. I really enjoy traveling in Austria. people were really nice to us everytime we went

Graz might be a little bit far in the south but it's worth it. Southern styria is one of the best wine regions in europe with wines as good as italian or french wines. We have the styrian wine road which leads you through a magnificent landscape and many little wine farms where you can eat and drink. If you are here, visit a Buschenschank, usually not so many tourists know them but if you want to experience good wine, food and an authentic experience you have to check out one.
  • The most beautiful landscape in Austria can be found in Lower Austria in an area alongside the Danube river which is called Wachau. And if you'd like to visit it you sould always make a river cruise from krems to melk or the other way. Being there is like being in paradise. You'll go up/down the river passing so many beautiful little villages like Dürnstein and also a lot (like hundrets if not thousands) of vineyards which is because the Wachau is one of the best vine regions of Austria.

Visit Deutschlandsberg. It's a beautiful little town in southwest Styria. Wonderfull old houses, a great nightlife, good food and we have the Schilcher, a very good wine which only grows here. And in summer the city looks like it was in Italy.

    Austria is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • You missed out  SO much what about Carinthia (Karnten)....Klagenfurt is a wonderful Baroque Town with a Large Lake-- Worthesee on the west side which has a village at the far end known as the Riviera of Austria where all the rich and famous live or holiday. Villach with an amazing castle with a bird of prey attraction, views and monkey park. Nearby just outside the town is the Glock family Horse centre where top shows are held and the Italian/Slovenian boarder minutes away etc etc We live here now having moved from Dallas and England and now here to stay--------

Servus Mark Wolters, the greatest fan of our AUSTRIA ever! :-) Mark Wolters so enthusiastically reports about our smal Land. After all the European Capitals and Metropols i hope to see you soon in amazing Carinthia and East-tyrol the silent Corner (Herrgottswinkel) & (latest J.Bond scenery), and take a trip to South-tyrol and perhaps to visit Gorizia &Trieste. Wehre outside glue the lable "ITALIA", just have to scratch a bit and you will see, oh there plugged the beauty full old-Austria among them. My best regards to Woltersworld.

You’ve come a long way Mark!
  • the BEST thing about Austria (especially Vienna) is the TAP WATER (!!!) it is the cleanest most natural water EVER - it comes directly from the mountains and goes directly to the city ;) Don't drink the beer. Don't drink the wine. (I mean do drink those but...) DRINK THE TAP WATER 😉😋👌🏻
  • I live in the Salzkammergut in a smal village with about 500 people living there and it is awesome you schould visit a few of this villages sorry for mistakes I am bad at writting English
