I was stuck, staring at ableton for the last hour. Watched this and got inspired. Your process is very practical and freeing. Thank you for this. I'm now about 10 tracks into my scene and just sketching.

Yet again, wonderfully selflessly insightful. RCK, it’s not just your beautiful songwriting and your enthusiasm for process, it’s also about how much you give back. Song writing and production is so personal, private, sacred even; yet you have allowed people to experience that place and that journey with you - not many people are gracious to the extent that they are prepared to share that level of themselves. Truly inspiring.

13 downvoters have no idea how generous it is that you give us such a deep insight into your workflow. Thank you Rachel!

I luv this song. I listen to it LOUD in my Ford Focus Titanium on the way home from work every week.
  • That is the coolest and most inspirational songwriting video I have seen - thanks Rachel!
  • @peteryoung9991
absolutely amazing how you went along producing this from scratch. Your comment of " I don´t wanna get stuck to a keyboard when starting" reminds me of myself when feeling you are stuck to black and white keys over and over again. Thank you!
  • @ThePoiMaster
Rachel, you are a gem and deserve every bit of success you strive for and have coming!
  • @avdude4654
This is one of the best song writing videos I have seen yet! Thank you for this! Be blessed!

I've been using Ableton for a few years now, but it's always great to see how light-hearted Rachel describes the process of making music. Sometimes you just have to think less and just do it. I usually start in session view too but I'm often quite tense and Rachel makes it all look so easy and relaxed. Great video!!!
  • @dr-rd
Dear Rachel thanks for these amazing insights, it's a treasure, helping a lot! Not many artists would be so brave to show the creative process like you!
  • Really enjoyed this video. Just getting started in production and you had so many helpful tips. Always love when you sing random thoughts to demonstrate the technique. Helps me understand not to be focused on perfection, but rather, the creative process.
  • @rowanwhile
You are incredible! I LOVE how "flowey" your creative process is.. It's super inspiring. (All your music is amazing too! Keep doing what you do!)
  • @The_Svara
Thanks for the resources rachel you really inspire us everyday. Congrats on your latest release ❤
  • @samueldecker2406
You are fantastic! Always inspiring, and an absolute wizard at music production.
  • This is great, thank you! It's so smart freeing yourself up in that way, so you can use a different part of your brain to create and write. It's like you are knocking down walls instead of starting from within a confined cell. You can go anywhere. FAB!!!
  • @guissho
Applause. I find this very inspiring and the flow of it feels very natural and genuine. Thanks for sharing.
  • @x1thesoul172
Your explanations and demonstrations are always top notch. I appreciate that you often go right for the important bits of info relevant to what you’re doing. And love the breakdowns of setup after many of your performances. Somehow you know what a lot of us like to learn. Thank you so much for being so open and clear, plus inspiring! Also, I love the boards on the keyboard stand 😅. I feel that. Always trying to find ways to flexibly arrange gear haha
  • @BuddyQuaid
Nice song! I saved it as my favorites in Spotify today. Love that driving beat. Makes you want to move. Glad I found you!
