This new rhythm was combined with American jazz and taken to New York by Cuban musicians. Many Great Latin Countries have contributed to this Amazing Music ! My daddy is Puerto Rican my Mama is Mexican so we love to dance my parents taught us at a young age and when we went to parties or weddings my parents would say if your not dancing your sitting cause you ain't running around actin a fool..lol... So of course all eight of my sibling dance salsa.. I love this mix. It reminds me of so many good times and dancing with my parents who caught everyone's eye every time they were on the Dance floor and now there dancing in Heaven❤.

Ngl I’m a black man , but I was born in Fajardo Puerto Rico , I grow up in the hood in Boston tho, but my mom was with a Spanish man from Arroyo , very clean smooth , good hygiene , he’s been in my life since I was 3 yrs old to 16, he taught me how to get ready in the morning, how to work out , how to wash your car, we played baseball, but his English was horrible , but it didn’t stop us from being together as 2 men. This is the kind of music he listened too. All day everyday. But when my people look at me they don’t see a Spanish man lol but it’s in my soul. I love salsa . I'm Italiano and was born and raised in the city in a 90 percent Puerto Rican neighborhood all my life. I was like family. I was def not a wanna be but loved the culture more then anyone. Thank you for this! I dance to it daily to help me recover from a heart attack. At 67 I am a lifelong fan of salsa and really, all world music. I have taught all arts including some dances. Retired now I dance for myself. My Polish-American heart dances too. God bless you.
