Your videos are just phenominal. You are helping so many people in thier purchase and advice on 'what to do" and 'what not to do'. Keep up the great work on helping all of us with equipment decisions!
  • Agreed, this was very useful info, I will be ordering later today! Side note: when drilling in metal, high speeds generate friction which caused the metal (and the bit) to heat up. This causes cutting/ shearing ability of the bit to diminish quickly (more heat, slower cutting). When drilling metal you a medium to medium low drill speed, and when possible cutting oil helps too.
  • @crashland5711
Rule of thumb, the bigger a drill bit the slower the speed and feed. Also use a lube.
  • I believe about 2 years ago you advertised the pair of bolt on bucket skids and I'm very happy I ordered them. I have a gravel driveway and I didn't have a problem moving snow without getting a bucket of gravel. These are a must if you move snow. Great product.
  • I'm waiting on a 4 in 1 bucket from John Deere for my 3046 tractor. When it finally gets here, I'll check out the possibilities for these brackets. They look useful as all get out! I really appreciate the way you are always looking for new tractor accessories. I don't believe I would have ever come across these on my own. Your videos are always informative and helpful, sometimes even humorous. And discounts are nice, too. Thanks again!
  • @chrisseats
Great video! A set of transfer punches will get your holes lined up perfect and save on having to widen the holes out as you put the brackets on.
  • @concert610
I welded hooks and 2" receiver to my bucket. Best accessories ever. I use the 2" with a wench mount I made from some 2" square tube and 1/4" plate steel. I love how easy to install your mounts are.
  • @supermike0822
Thanks for the heads-up on these. Our JD dealer said he could not 'order' the HD bucket with our tractor, and due to supply chain issues right now "you never know what they might come in with". We wanted the HD bucket, but I have a feeling we'll get the standard. 🤨 At least this gives me a solid option for reinforcement and some extra connection points.
  • Ju FabWorks made me a custom setup for my New Holland WorkMaster 25s base off the JD one with the receiver, 2 d-links and 2 hooks for the center of the bucket. I than added 2 hooks from Kens Bolt on hooks on the edge by the arms. Both companies make great US made products and both great to deal with.
  • @erice9536
What a coincidence! I just bought the center plate for my 1025 last week and was thinking to myself this guy needs to partner with someone on youtube to get the word out. Very well made piece, comes with excellent hardware and will be extremely handy to use for years! Buy one, you won't regret it!
  • @phild9813
I just used my stump bucket for the first time last night, and it worked phenomenally! I mean, like butter! Thanks!
  • First thing I fixed when I got my 3320 back in 2008. The very first time I used the bucket it showed signs of tweaking. I didn't bend it but I could see it would eventually happen so I reinforced the top lip with a weld on angle iron piece to create a box effect. I worked for Cat and John Deere back in the day on the heavy stuff so light duty was something I had never dealt with. I told the sales guy when I bought my 3320 back in 2008 I didn't think it was going to last. It has proved me wrong. The little consumer grade tractors hold up really well if they are not abused. Good video, great presentation!
  • @fonnfour
Just a side note, Steel requires a slower cutting speed and wood a higher cutting speed. Hence the normal two setting on your drills. Yes the slow speed is good for using with fasteners but it is also great as you found out to drill into steel. Oh and Aluminum is same as or higher than wood.
  • @wildcat9090
Yes, just used this bucket mount receiver to pull a trailer across the property because I didn't want to remove the implement I had on the back. Slo-mo at 10:48 is beautiful.
  • Great video! i welded up something similar with the trailer receiver bracket and hooks 23years ago! All the best!
  • @mlcmzy659
Greatly appreciate the info on these chain hooks/handles/re-enforcement plates. Been watching you and Tim over at TTWT for years, finally pulled the trigger got a 1025R ordered; supposed to arrive in about 1.5 weeks here in Goochland, VA. Just ordered a set with grab handles and don't even have the tractor yet...lol! You guys keep up the great work, thanks so much for all the info!
  • @ReinQuest
Tips: -Buy a centering punch set. That’ll align to your hole. You should always center punch metal before drilling anyway. -Squirt oil on that drill bit to lengthen cutting edge life span. -Recommended to start with a smaller drill bit and work up to final size. My reaction: Wow JD really did go cheap on them. It’s great that these are bolt on, makes it easier for anyone to do. Personally I think I’d also weld them on too.
  • I apologize for not having told you what a good job you do on your Chanel. I enjoy most all you informed videos. I am amazed you are not a dealer You did a great video on the JU products. You might check on how reliable your suppliers are. When I went to their website after I watched your video. I called & asked for a call to answer a question. The next afternoon I had received no return call. They then were sold out of what you showed on your video and won’t be in stock again until late June, and he had removed his phone number & would receive e-mails only. I sent an email & still have received no email response. Keep up the good work! Thanks, John
  • I used a step bit for the first time on this install on my 1025R and will never use an all purpose bit on metal again. Makes it so much easier. Just be careful is you're wearing crocs with no socks, the metal shavings are way hot!
  • Good equipment but I believe I would install the attachment bolts from the bucket side up to the bracket so the bolt threads are more protected in case you need to remove/replace them or the attachment.
