This is like that video of the guy who has no arms or legs running a marathon saying "What's your excuse?" Like, I play with my keyboard, but beyond strumming potentially being better on this monstrosity, Alec just proved that I, in fact, just suck at Clone Hero

Been playing CH hero recently and I don't have a guitar so I've just been holding my keyboard like one with 2-6 as frets and left, down, and right arrow keys all mapped to strum. Works pretty well, only real issue is fast strumming sometimes, but I can kinda rake strum it. Hadn't thought about using a controller for strum so I may have to try that.

Since its a PS4/PS5 controller you could totally attach a pencil to the two joysticks for a longer physical strum bar

This is cursed and I love it.

Ever since my controller broke, I've played Clone Hero using my mechanical keyboard held up like a guitar. Frets are right shift / . , m and I've bound strum up to caps lock strum down to left shift, star power is on tab or spacebar and keyboard whammy is bound to left control. I've actually hit some pretty nasty stuff on the scuffed setup, like Cliffs of Dover.
