I think once these armor strip changes go live, it's going to bring a really big "rising tide lifts all ships" situation. A lot of the frames that sit in the 'weaker' slots are going to get heavily buffed just by proxy. And honestly that's the most exciting thing Warframe has done in years.

I think her new augment should be a tap and hold for merulina. I prefer it but sometimes theres that long hallway and id like to zoom throigh on my little jellyfish

To keep the Netracells interesting before Archimedea hit, I took it upon myself to clear the Cells with every single frame. No Vazarin, no Necramechs, no teammates, just using the frame, its abilities and some decent weapons. I had no actual issues, I needed no more than 3 attempts with any frame. Needless to say though, some frames were super sweaty. Especially Limbo and Vauban. So yeah, your thesis is correct, Tater. But, oh boy, is crowd control in a bad spot...

I was expecting this video to cover Caliban as well but hopefully DE will do something for him soon. Maybe something mentioned at TennoCon but I wish Loyal Merulina was just a button press instead of an augment taking up a mod slot. Shortly press is K Drive and long press is Merulina by your side with damage reduction capped at 75% and the full 90% when you ride her. Just my thoughts on that

i think its less "theres no bad frame" and more "anything can work if you put your mind into it"

This thought process can be "harmful" if we blatantly say all frames are good because none are bad, then no frames would really ever get any changes. I can't tell you when the last time I saw a Nyx in anything but hydron to level. Sure, she is functional, but her entire kit is essentially a radiation proc and an armor strip that any gun could do. Sure, there's more to her here and there, but there's so much lacking there. Then, on the flip side, Frost, with a ton of changes surrounding him and a few tweaks to him directly, has made him a really good frame. The issue is that he is essentially Avalanch the Warframe. Passive sucks, 1 sucks, 2 sucks, 3 participation trophy but sucks, 4 the holy grail of abilities. Both need changes, but Nyx is clearly in a rutt worse than frost

Caliban is trash and Limbo directly works against your teammates. I'd say almost every frame is fine, all are usable (but Limbo), and at least a third are straight up great. As for Yareli, I still need to try out the Merulina augment!

Recently came back to the game after about 6 years and did the quest for Yareli. Excited to play with her when she finishes building tomorrow!

0:09 Ha. Dat single frame of caliban wont be missed. I would mostly say he is now in the hydroid spot of worse frames and needed a rework/buff because cmon DE, wish he needed more touchups since his initial release and yet we havent gotten anything for him. (My guess is that if there is another major quest involving around sentients, DE would buff caliban, probably needs to have a right fit and place for them to do) and wish we have more narmer missions, just saying

as someone who still constantly uses Chroma as one of my mains, he's not great, he's very survivable but my other main is Gara and she is just as survivable with less of a ramp-up time, less room for error, and can do more than just not die. The only reason I use him currently is because I have five parkour velocity archon shards which is very fun with his Double Bullet jump and makes him my fastest frame for speed farming.

Honestly I have a friend who's literally a Yareli main and let me tell you: If you're extremely stubbornly opposed to the k-drive controls, that's fine. I'm glad you get to play with the new augment. But also: The k-drive controls are honestly perfectly usable once you get used to them and the other augment is UTTERLY insane to reward you for trying. Like seriously, give it like two or three missions, play a Survival, maybe a disruption, go a few rounds, don't go into it wanting to be upset, don't pick bad tilesets (she's actually really good in the Albrecht labs), you'll be fine. And your reward is that she gets even better as a Secondary platform, so in case you ever wanted to see the Dual Toxocyst Incarnon red-crit at 70hz, she can do that if you don't give up on her for being different. Like, come on yall she's not Caliban, there's so much worse in this game.

Nah cause I love limbo, and he’s absolutely terrible. The release of eximus units made him unable to function in any serious level of content.

Fully agree there are no bad frames. My wife loves playing her and enjoys her play style a lot.

I mean all frames can do base star chart pretty reasonably. I still think meta frames are definitely necessary in deep arch and whatnot but otherwise balance wise we are probably in one of the better spots we have ever been in
