Robben Island

The story of Nelson Mandela has touched the hearts and souls of countless people across the planet and one of the longest and most integral chapters plays out on a small, low-lying island just off the Cape Town Coastline. It is here where Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years of imprisonment and when you peer into the tiny concrete box where he spent these long, hard years it really is almost impossible to fathom.
As you wander around the very same courtyard where the likes of Nelson Mandela and Robert Sobukwe would discuss the idealistic future of South Africa beyond the iron-grip of Apartheid, you can almost hear the chatter yourself - incongruous with the beautiful view of Table Mountain way off in the distance..

A touching experience and one you will never forget.
