History of the Incas - ASMR Sleepy Story

Published 2024-02-19
This bedtime story takes us along lost trails of the Andes Mountains, to the discovery of several millenia of civilization in this region (Caral-Supe, the Valdivia culture, Chimu, Wari, Tiwanaku...), until the rise of the Inca Empire. I tell you about the history and culture of the Incas, as well as the development of their empire, from the small Kingdom of Cusco to one of the largest states in the world at the time of its splendor. We will also take a look at how the Spanish conquistadors brought it down so quickly, and for a different look at aspects of Inca culture, I take you to Machu Picchu and to the National Natural History Museum of Santiago, Chile ‪@MNHNChile‬ for a visit of the Niño del Cerro El Plomo, the centuries-old natural mummy of a young boy.

One of these days I need to listen to your stories when I’m not trying to fall asleep. Your content is awesome, but your voice is so soothing… I end up asleep after a handful of minutes! Thank you for providing timestamps, it’s a huge help.

I just got back from Santiago with my family, and because of your video on the National Natural History Museum I made sure that we visited and it was amazing! Thank you for helping me sleep, while also being the best museum guide!

Commenting before I've listened. I already know that this story is informative, interesting and relaxing. As usual, I'm going to pass out to it, and listen to it again tomorrow (with one head phone) while I watch my kids
  • @userNULL
Very nice. Would love one of these about the history of the Inuit, often overlooked and very little information online, definitely deserves some light, especially with your level of care and detail. Amazing work as always.
  • @CharGC123
I was never particularly interested in typical European History as taught in school and written by the conquering "victors", but I am fascinated by the underdogs, "lost" cultures, and ancient history, especially the builders of the megalithic structures we can't even replicate in our current "advanced" society! Going to love this, thankyou!
  • @zombieguy3000

  • @stargazer6814
You know, there’s something beautiful to be said about putting yourself in the shoes of a far off culture/civilization from long ago, that you rarely think about, as you drift off to sleep.
  • @jonathanv1664
Finally! Thank you Halo-man. THIS is the type of stories we are here for. ❤
  • @Sean-uo9kw
