Dikembe is one of the greatest defensive centers in NBA history. A 7ft2 giant who got nicknamed Mt Mutombo for his excellent rim protection and shot blocking capabilities

He played 18 years in the NBA, most notably for the Denver Nuggets, Atlanta Hawks, and Philadelphia 76ers. As a member of the Nuggets team, he led them to the first ever victory for an eighth seed over the first seed in the Playoff.

Dikembe also has the record for most defensive player of the year awards, with 4 of them to his name. This is a record that has since been equalled by only Ben Wallace

Outside of the game of basketball, he is well known for his philanthropy and humanitarian work focused on elevating the lifestyles of those in low income environments, especially his home country Congo.

PS: The videos and photos use were sourced from the internet. Mainly Google and the NBA's official YouTube page, but I also got some clips from other channels. None belongs to me

Dikembe Mutombo was a beast of a defensive rebounder. In his prime years, only Michael Jordan, Dennis Rodman, Karl Malone, Shaquille O'neal and Hakeem Olajuwon got past him!
