I don't think the CEO actually knows what's going on over there. He's just going off what he's told, as is the culture.

The decline of Boeing started over 25 years ago with the Boeing/McDonnell Douglas merger and the moving of the Headquarters to Chicago. Although they took the Boeing name and the McDonnell Douglas culture. Quality vs Cost. It would be like merging Bentley with Fiat, keeping the Bentley name but building Fiat quality cars. The whole upper management org chart needs to be purged. They need a CEO that can bring back the old Boeing company culture whereby Quality, Profit, and Safety are equal. Right now the company has Profit above anything else.
