Frequently Asked Questions:
😇 How old are you? 23
📝 What are you studying? I am set to start my MA in English Literature at Oxford this autumn.
📚What are your favourite books?    • 200 book recommendations: my favourit...
📚 Do you have a book club? Yes! You can join it here for free: fable.co/club/reading-with-the-seasons-with-rubygr…
📝 Have you written a book? My life goal is to be a published author and make a living from writing and I am using this year to gain experience, build up a portfolio and work on a book with my agent. I have just finished the final draft of that book, as you can see in this video. I did self-publish a book about bullying when I was seventeen which is available on Amazon (amzn.to/3mdJKLm), but I'm slightly embarrassed by it now!
🎃 Do you have merch? I don't have merch in the traditional sense (I can't imagine selling something with my face or name on haha!), but I do have a stationery company where I sell planners for students. These are all designed with students in mind and follow models which I've used when planning my studying. Our products are printed in pastel colours on recycled paper: bit.ly/3wgsR85
🍵 What's your favourite tea? That's a REALLY hard one, but I think I'd have to say the B&B Chocolate Digestive Tea: bird-and-blend-tea-co.sjv.io/youwilllovethisone (affiliat

Sometimes I watch ruby’s videos and realize how little I expand my mind. I feel like I absorb and try to but my goodness, ruby is just beyond any of my comprehension. It’s… inspiring. What a lovely Paris vlog 🤍🥹
  • "What better protection than a glass so fragile but also so beautiful that it becomes impossible to break" That is an exquisite line of poetry.

My boyfriend and I hope to go to Paris one day. That hotel looks so lovely and the area, we both love books and are not ones for going out too late either. Its nice to see a travel video that does not contain night scenes of drinking and loudness. It is nice to see an alternative holiday, reading books and taking in the atmosphere and drinking tea. There are many of us who like a quieter life, and seeing cultural things like art and book shops etc, and it is good that you as a creator are showing this to people. It used to be that often we all thought we had to follow the crowd, but even some of that crowd did not want to go out clubbing. Thank you for showing us a beautiful Paris.
  • I'm French and living in Paris and I absolutely love your perspective on the city, us Parisians often forget how lucky we are to live in it especially regarding the culture
  • I think what inspires me the most about you is solo travel. Although I am a person who lives alone, and quite comfortable in this situation, I have always been afraid of going on a solo travel. It means that I've always organized my trips according to the choices and availability of my relatives and friends. From my point of view, I find people who travel alone courageous. You look so confident by minding your own business, going to bookshops, museums, cafes without caring by the judgment of others. I always thought I wouldn't be able to do the same thing, even though I really wanted to. And yet, after this new video, I decided to challenge myself. I've just booked a single room lodge in a regional park, with hiking and reading on the agenda. A quiet corner, a few hours from home. Step by step... And the next challenge will be a solo trip abroad - already planned! Thank you for leading by example.

The white robe on a balcony in Paris is giving PARISSSS <3333

How fitting that you posted a video in Paris the same day I began studying classical architecture in my art class this semester! It is quite surreal seeing photos of some of these buildings in my module and then seeing them come to life through your vlog! I am so glad you had such a lovely trip, Ruby! Thank you for recording it; your videos always bring me so much joy. ❤

This becomes one of my most favorite vlogs on your channel, visiting bookshops and museums is the best, thank you so much dear ruby! 🤍✨

I was born and raised in Paris, and I have so many childhood memories at the Tuileries garden which you showed in the beginning. Every summer, there’s a fun fair there that my mum would take me to each year. And in the winter, she would take me to the Louvre mall nearly every weekend, where there was a Virgin Megastore, and I would read comics and play with the display game consoles whilst she would browse through books and classical music CDs. It feels so eerie to see one of your favourite and most watched creators wandering around the places you grew up with 😌
  • Your videos are a comfort, Ruby! Coming from someone laid off from work and having been on the job hunt since January here in the USA, I love to escape for a bit through your content. Thanks for taking us along!

When I saw the title (I'm French), I clicked as fast as I could on the notification!! Can't wait to see what you did in Paris, I hope you had a wonderful stay Ruby! 💌

Your long videos are truly much appreciated! Thank you

I admit, I am shocked. In a good way of course. It's so inspiring to see a young lady being able to travel around the wold solo like this. Unfortunately I am only 16 and from a place where I can't see even walk in my town by myself. Hope u had a good trip and I look forward to seeing your video after my final state exam tomorrow.
  • Dear Ruby, it was wonderful to accompany you to Paris. This was such an enjoyable video experience, thank you; I wish it were longer! I completely agree with you about the importance of quiet to take in a painting, sculpture, or other works of art; it does affect the way we appreciate the object. The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a superb novel to read, especially in Paris, wow! To see the gargoyles, pillars, and stained glass of this magnificent structure, even from a distance, must be surreal and make the book come alive. Thanks for sharing your reflections, emotions, and impressions Paris gave you. I appreciate all the amazing places you took us to see. The best of everything this coming term in Oxford-I surely appreciate you.

This was an outstanding video. I lived I Germany a few years and loved traveling throughout Europe. Rome and Paris were wonderful cities to visit but London was my very favorite by far. Thanks for such vivid memories.

Lovely to see Paris again and from a different perspective. You certainly make the most of your travels and give yourself time to reflect.

Thank you for such a lovely video. I’m planning a trip to Paris next year and I appreciate your experiences. I’m also staying an extra week in London because I went last year and fell in love with it . I saw everyone reading actual books and there were so many bookstores! You’re very fortunate to live close to both cities
