sigh This episode is gonna cost me a lot of money, I can just feel it.
  • @SteamPunk96
Congrats, 10 years is a long time, even longer in internet years. To be able to stay relevant, consistently up your production quality and hook all of us in with every single upload is an impressive feat and something to be lauded. I've not been here the whole 10 years, I stumbled across the channel in 2018 and, without too many details, will say it was and is one of a few major factors as to why I'm even alive today. So thanks and again, congrats guy, truly!.

6:56 Coury, go into Ex-Zodiac's Options > Display Setup > & set the Aspect Ratio to so-called 16:10 to fill the Steam Deck's full 1280×800p screen w/ graphics, rather than having those 40-line black bars on the top & bottom. It's not stretching, the game will actually render in all the screen's available area now so you see more on the top & bottom, even if only 80 lines more (or in actuality probably under a couple dozen upscaled lines more if you stick to the game's Retro low-res style mode), but on aesthetic/presence grounds alone it's still worth it IMO. The only downside is you'll have to switch Ex-Zodiac back to 16:9 whenever you dock your Deck to get rid of the new black bars on the left & right to fill a full 16:9 TV or monitor again.
  • I love this channel SO MUCH, you guys are by far the best at retro gaming coverage
  • @tasos5005
On HDCP splitters: Genki just launched a Kickstarter for the Shadowcast Pro 2, which does exactly that! The original Shadowcast already stripped HDCP, and this new one adds a passthrough port for splitting. It seems like exactly what Try needed for the PS3 and PSTV!

It’s overwhelming how many retro things there are these days. It’s awesome.
  • @adamleblanc6263
The Flip Grip will still work with the OLED Switch if you rotate it 180 degrees. It won't lock in but the friction should keep it in, but still great for couch/home use.
  • @sainrub
Congratulations on your 10 year anniversary MLIG. Thank you for all you do, love you guys!
  • @jkemp6791
I’ve been a console gamer my whole life. Never did the PC thing. So I’m amazed that the Steam Deck has become my favorite way to play games. Like, ever.
  • I'm a handheld retro player, but as my son is getting older and getting the newer consoles I find myself with his past consoles now. I usually just plug in a new console when I am ready to play it but the HP Retro Vision YPbPr RCA Extention Cable may be a faster solution, so thanks for that. Congrats on the 10 years! That is awesome! Crazy how much stuff is out there for Retro Gamers!

Does the 4K HDMI Audio Inserter fix the audio whenever my PS1digital switches resolution? i get audio dropouts on my capture card during those moments
  • @Sierra_Vice
Hey, recent viewer here! Congrats on your 10 year anniversary! Putting out projects together after such a long time is really nice to see, hope to see you guys still doing projects together for a long time! 😅 Cheers!

My setup is basically centered around console mods. All my consoles are modded, in some way, to max the audio/video quality of said console. Afterwards, I rely on flashcarts and ODE’s to avoid the inflated cost of after market prices. When I get around to assembling my game room, I have one of each gcomp and gscart switcher, and an hdmi switch as well. These will be routed through an AV receiver, or video scaler, where/when it’s needed. Right now, I have 2 video monitors: A Sony Trinitron XBR960, and a Sony Bravia w. VGA optional input and 3D functionality. No 4K at present, just 1080i/p. Thanks to your help, I’ve been able to acquire my dream list of vintage scalers and line multipliers: WAKA up-scan converter, The OSSC, Micomsoft XRGB-3 and XSelect D4 (English patched menu and remote), Lumigen Vision HDQ, PMS Crystalio ii 3800. Still holding out for a decently priced ISCAN VP-50 Pro. You guys have also helped me keep pace with what’s currently taking place in the vintage gaming scene. I’m starting to trail behind. But, that’s because it’s time for me to transition into my next big life project (whatever it may be). Without your channels influence I never would have been able to make this dream a reality. Teamwork makes the dream work. 🎉
  • These hardware videos, particularly about cables, are what I live for on this channel! Great stuff! Also, congrats on 10 years!
  • @smashpro1
I really like the Tribute 64 Wireless controllers by Retro-Bit for N64. 2.4 gHz connectivity for low lag, and dongles for both N64 and USB systems like the Switch. They also made the Prism component cables that I'm using on my Gamecube.
  • @biggallcaps
Thanks for making this episode! I always learn about new options for my setup that I don't find on my own Thanks Coury and Try :)
  • @corgibuttz2550
Best retro channel of all time. Taught me so much. Now I'm rocking pvms, everdrives, terraonion ode's. The one thing you guys don't mention is how handy a hanging shoe rack works for controller storage ;)
  • @georgefrankly
did coury just say "M30 on Saturn"?! that has been my obsession for years now and I can't believe it wasn't an option before now
  • @SuperLuigiSixty4
Fantastic video! I watch all the stuff you guys put out, but these videos (and the ones about video quality) are the ones I love most.
