Great perspective on the wave action at the mouth of the inlet. Gaging that surf at the boat's waterline really shows just how rough it is. Good stuff as always, Thanks.

You should inform on the length of the boats to put them in perspective. Longer boat naturally having an advantage.

That's a good group of powerful boats. That Seahunter captain would be in big trouble if he got bounced from the bow with the engines in gear.

Dudes going out in these hugely expensive, beautiful boats by themselves... can't buy a friend!

Tough day! Boats were all up to the task! Captains? Well, some need a little talk.
  • if you have enough footage I think a skater edition would be awesome. although most people who own skaters are pretty sound skippers but see what you got. maybe a cigarette brand special would be wicked to.
  • Love watching these videos is the waves just leaving the inlet or are the waves all the way out?
  • @armusc757
As a 30 year small boat owner, just can't believe these guys go out in such rough seas. Bad Captain decision all around.
  • I thought we'd see Bubba's new boat which doubles as a submarine !! I don't see any life jackets being worn !!
  • @TOM-C.
I still find it weird that so many of us watch this! Who woulda thunk! Brilliant idea whoever came up with it. I'm surprised nobody has copied this as I'd watch that too!😁😎👍✌🗽
  • My buddy has a 30 ft center console wellcraft. Dual 300s. Total length around 36 ft. It’s gigantic on a trailer, but quickly becomes a dinghy once on the ocean.

Despite the H being in a mood, the boats took it in 4, because that anchor locker wasn't enough to let the H pull a stuffing.

Why do people try to get out of the inlet when they know they can’t. My dad did that once in a Jersey inlet had to turn around on a wave after one wave put us straight up in the air. It came down stern first. I was hanging on for dear life hoping my grip didn’t slip. After that I would not go unless I knew it was calmer then that day.

The AXOPAR boats have no flair! The waves rise up the side and into to boat instead of being diverted away from the boat by flair. Silly boats. They go for the sexy look and disregard centuries or boat design.

Waves bigger than they appear? Not If you know how to judge sea heights - what's blocked from view when the boat is in the trough and knowledge of vessel freeboard - these are 4 foot seas, not fun in a smaller boat but hardly qualifies as "rough". I also confirmed that with the NWS Near shore wave models and reports.
