  • Lily has one of the saddest backstories: She lived in a Control Vault, got married, had a child, and became a grandma. But then The Master’s Super Mutants broke into the Vault…they either killed people or exposed them to FEV. Lily became a Nightkin and we have no idea what had happened to Jimmy and Becky, but we can assume that they were either killed or suffered their grandma’s fate. And that holotape is all Lily has left of her old life and the family she lost long ago.

Lily is basically a woman inside a retirement home and the home is her own body and mind... really sad

One thing I don't like about Lilly is there's no dialogue option to give her a hug. I wanna hug grandma
  • @TyTheKewlGuy
I'm not gonna lie this almost made me cry, Lily's story is pretty sad.

This holotape scared the shit out of me when it first played in a dark ass cave

When I first met Grandma Lily I didn't know what to think. But after some time she became my favourite companion. When raiders became too much Grandma was there for me!
  • @harlowviv2968
Increases my strength and durability stats so I can give Lily the best hugs in the mojave.

If only the Vault Dweller had departed sooner, none of this would happened.

Grandma's so proud of her little pumpkin, assassinating the President like that!
  • An old Woman of Vault 17, presumably forced to become a Supermutant (especially a Nightkin) for the Masters Army, driven into Madness and Schizophrenia by Stealthboy overuse, fighting her other, evil self ''Leo'' Day by Day, tries to help her kind by being a Testsubject for Doc Henry and his Medicine... Lily's Story is one of the sadest in Fallout New Vegas, giving her the Medicine that calms her down and supresses her dangerious ''Leo'' side will make her lose her Memories from before the war, the Memories of her Family, especially her Grandchildren she loves so dearly, there are 3 Outcomes for her: ** SPOILERS FOR HER PERSONAL QUEST ENDING AHEAD!** - Giving her the full Dosis of the Meds -> her Anger-Outbreaks (when ''Leo'' takes over) will vanish but also her Memories about the past and she'll get a calmer (''weaker'') Person - Giving her the half Dosis of the Meds -> her Anger-Outbreaks will become less likely to happen (only if her HP are falling under 30%) and her Memories will be saved for the most Part and the Usage of a Stealthboy (by going into the Stealth Mode ingame) will calm her down faster - Not giving her any Medicine -> ''Leo'' will be more Present -> even if the HP are dropping under 50% and she will be more furiously in Combat and her Madness and Schizophrenia will become worse
  • I originally thought the medicine was the tape and it helped remember, so I told her to always take her medicine Now I feel like an ass... Oh well, won’t let that happen on my second run!

This is relatable. I'm considering taking anti-depressants and I'm scared that it'll just put me into a state where i lose a part of myself, the parts that are gnawing at me yet mean the most to me, for the sake of feeling better.

Video games rarely make me cry. This? This fucking broke me when I first heard it in-game. This innocent, sweet, caring old women was turned into an inhuman super-soldier against her will. Her mind is half gone, she's more than likely outlived her grand-children and the only thing she has left to remember them by is a single recording of the last time she saw them. It comes out of nowhere like a gutpunch and makes you realise just how much Lily has suffered and how she's far more than just a simple "LOL SUPERMUTANT GRANNY" joke that the game initially treats her as.
  • This is the only companion quest I can never seem to trigger at all and I've been playing Fallout NV since release.
