The scene with everyone running from the dragons and the WoL just bravely walking toward them, that was the first time I felt like a real hero. That and the subsequent battle between Hraesvalgr and Nidhogg is one of the most amazing scenes in the entire game.

i'm sorry, I love how Estinien wakes up, fresh from spending however long it was in canon being possessed by a dragon who absolutely hates him, and his first thought is "man, Alphinaud needs to shut the fuck up"

The immense amount of emotional damage that I incurred while watching the cutscene where you take the eyes from Esti-Nidhogg was severe. Haurchefant is a character who deserved so much more. I'm a Paladin and I've never once forgot to glamour my shield into the Fortemps' one. I love that man.

13:40 The Warrior of Light is the one character in the game that it's totally okay to fall in love with cause you know they won't die. Unless you're me in raids, then she dies over and over and over and over and over... eventually it stops hurting and you just wait for a healer.

Remember, everytime it played the song Dragonsong throughout the game it was an orchestral version. But when you get Hraesvelgaurs eye, you finally can understand the lyrics of the song. It's so amazing.

Heavensward was when I realised something profound...that I never wanted to stop seeing what this games story provided! This story was amazing in every sense, and it saddens me that many will never experience it because: 'It's just an MMO, they have no story worth anything'! The cast of characters in this game is wonderful, and watching you encounter them is going to be a true treat - enjoy Eorzea! <3

i will forever love the little touches they often use that go unnoticed by many. My favorite in possibly the whole game being the transition from the instrumental of Dragonsong to the version with lyrics the moment you absorb Hraesvelgrs eye. You become attuned to the dragons, and able to hear their "song" which so many referred to. Nidhoggs rage and anguish in musical form, metaphorically signalling your new connection.

I'm not going to lie, when I first did this many years back I cried at the post fight cutscene. I did not expect it, and it always makes me tear up everytime I see it again. I hope you truly enjoyed the story thus far, and we'll see you in Stormblood soon.

The whole Dragonsong war storyline was INCREDIBLE. The trial and the last phase with the music just swelling is still one of my favourite moments in this game. After ARR which felt quite slow story-wise, HW was such an amazing improvement.

This has long been my favorite part of the game, and I always watch the cut scenes on whatever characters I take through here. . . Watching you experience this for the first time was so cathartic! I cried right along with you, even though I knew what would happen many times over. <3

The first time they played Dragonsong War with lyrics I bawled my eyes out.. then it happened again at an emotional moment. Lost my sanity and never found it again

this was when the Warrior of Light made their true mark on the world and the start of them being an entity beyond physical limits.

Thanks for sharing your journey with us. So many of us find it worth rewatching, and crying alongside new players. Heavensward truly brings us all together, in grief and catharsis.
