Shannon Sharpe is going off on all the trolls hating on Bronny James for his white prom date ... telling TMZ Sports the bashing of LeBron James' son is "utterly ridiculous."

Bronny just had his prom earlier this month -- and after he took a white classmate to the event ... racist haters came out and left nasty comments all over the photos on social media.

Sharpe told us out at LAX this past week that the attacks were BS ... saying, "People would rather you be miserable with someone your own race than you be in love with someone of a different race."

"It is so utterly ridiculous," he continued. "People need to get a life."

The Pro Football Hall of Famer's advice for Bronny was simply to ignore the noise -- and do whatever he wants to do to make him happy.

"Bronny can't live his life for someone else," Sharpe said. "He has to live for him. And, far too many people live their life for other people."

It’s sad that a lot of black women don’t want to be with some of these men but when they see those same men with another woman they get upset. They feel like you have to wait decades until they get ready, after the trauma, kids, dustyness.

Men, life is hard enough as it is. Be with a woman that extends your life, not one who shortens it. No matter her race or what outsiders thinks. ALL MEN DESERVE PEACE.

As a black man I never had good chemistry with non black women. I’ve only attracted black women especially dark skinned ones. To each their own.

There’s so much to unpack regarding this conversation. What troubles me is that black men (I’m a black man) publicly disrespect and degrade black women but treat white women with tenderness and carefulness. We have completely lost historical perspective on our relationship to both black and white women. We have forgotten who was by our side and who was responsible for the blood on the leaves.

To think women of other races won’t stress you or make life hard for you is ignorant. It’s not the race that’s the problem, it’s the culture. I love Black women. I’m not that naive to think all black women are troublemakers. That’s an excuse to date outside your race

There's someone out there that will treat you the way you should be treated. Whether or not you will ever meet them, is another story.

Instead of worrying about this, us black men need to better ourselves and become a level of successful. 💯✊🏾

I haven’t seen one black woman who actually cares about this.

True story: I once had an interest in a coworker who passed me over for a dude she later married and had a baby from. A year or two later she was divorcing him and boomerang her way back to me by expressing interest again. I was hesitant because by then I had evolved into dating outside my race and become serious about investing into real estate. So serious that I decided to keep my car for at least ten years although the air went out in it. I agreed to date under the pretense that we were just going to pass the time and maybe create a “soft landing” for her. In other words We bump booties and I still stay on my investing course. I scratch her back and she scratches mine. A wins a win. Big mistake. I picked her up on our first date and she clowned me about my car not having any air conditioning all night long. I explained about my Real estate plans and saving money. She scoffed at it and rolled her eyes. I learned a big lesson that day. Just because you are the same color doesn’t mean you have the same values.

If you find a woman who is attracted to you and the feelings are mutual go for it. No matter the race. Find someone who makes you happy. The hell with the haters. Misery loves company. Don’t join in the misery when you don’t have to.

He didn’t say black men are suffering dating black women he said people would rather see you suffering dating someone in you own race then happy with a person from another race it’s 2 different statements entirely
  • Listen…..I’ve dated SOOOO many women in my 40yrs on this earth. It ain’t easy finding the best fit regardless of race. So if I find someone that meets the majority of my requirements n we have peace, IDGAF about what her race is….I couldn’t care less. F what anybody gotta say about it

What exactly is the definition of this "Black community" everyone keeps mentioning? I know what it looked like back in the 80s and that's NOT what I see today......
  • @sugarlacey7773
do y'all ever get tired of talking about what you don't like and why? start taking about what you love without involving people you don't engage with.
  • @maliksykes8529
black men can suffer with any race women. pick the right woman. I'm not gonna sit here and act like every other race of women are better than black women just because I had a break up. make better decisions and do what's best without finger pointing.

No ones signing up to be disrespected or emasculated after a long day at work anymore. It is what it is.

As a Black woman, we have already figured what has been going on. Many of us have been opening our horizons. Sad to say, the loyalty to Black men outside of our families aren't our focus. Do what you must, we will do what works best for us as well🤷🏾‍♀️.
  • I personally have no spiritual connection with other races of women but im sticking with the sistas and to each its own , date who you want to date and be happy but its just sad how we attack eachother while claiming youre happy obviously not because you still in these topics trying to convince yourselves that you made the right choice
