A bronze for a non-East African is like gold.

Thirteen runners under the previous Olympic record. Absolutely absurd. The fact Fisher medalled feels like gold.

Joshua cheptegei the great patriotic Ugandan. He's a police officer, he's building a training track field in Uganda, he gave away he's 2020 Olympic gold 🥇 medal and promised to win it back and he has won it back! Thanks cheptegei for motivating Uganda and all people around the world

Love that the announcer spotted that "Cheptegei is looking dangerous" at the 3:22 mark. Having knowledgeable individuals on the call makes watching so much more exciting.
  • This man made a decision a long time ago, to make it a decision of sacrifice and discipline, and dedicate himself to his craft. So proud of him. He represented the United States of America in a extraordinary way that hadn’t been done and 56 years.
  • This is not only fucking amazing because of what Grant just accomplished. It’s made more special to me by the female commentators emotions. It adds gravitas thank you

This a huge deal. So accustomed to the US not even being in the mix in this event. Congrats to Grant.
  • My vote for, arguably, the greatest 10k track race of all time. 12 runners sub 27!
